We've finally completed the Official ZPS Trailer! So use the restroom, make yourself a drink, then sit back and enjoy! In addition, we would like to announce that Zombie Panic! Source version 1.4 is ready, and should be available to the public around Tuesday, November 11th (UPDATE: its out)! Keep your eyes on this page (or on our twitter), and we will let you know as soon as Valve updates, so you can update your servers or clients via Steam.
Now I know you're all curious who the winners of our Halloween Contest will be, and honestly choosing was incredibly difficult. There were a number of different opinions to which were best so we put it to a vote and these 3 made it to the top-

Monkey Junkie's work is fantastic as always. The trailer did a good job of explaining the gameplay mechanics and showing off the mod's good features.

Why did the 1st place win again? A guy holding a keyboard behind his head and sucking on a finger? what is that crap? How much did he pay you? The 3rd place guys at least put some real effort into the zombies with some real makeup... man, glad I didn't even try and submit something, wow, with the first place winners, I should have won WITHOUT submitting something! But really good vid... lol
He won because he pulled off the Eugene look to a T, and did a great photoshop for his second pic to pull it all together. Plus, his presentation was hilarious, and better than most.

There was probably 20 zombie costumes submitted, it was a COSTUME CONTEST, so it didn't HAVE to be zombies. Kex pulled off a near perfect Eugene (ZPS character, duh) and yes, but some comedy into it as well.
Does someone have to have 9 layers of make-up to have a good costume? No. I think the top 3 are fine how they are, and they all put some good effort into their costumes ending with great results.

L4D is NOTHING the same as Zombie Panic.
I would like L4D more if it wasn't CS style shooting :\ The backpeddle fest kinda destroys some of the realism in my opinion.
Both have their own features completely original to themselves, and yes, valve loves its sourcemods :D

As seen in this video, there will be an IED (Improvised explosive device, C4 if you like) and an M4. There will be more weapons to come in future updates!

Amazing job with the video. I've been meaning to pick up Half Life 2 just for this mod... though now with L4D coming out I'm not sure. Still amazing work though.
Should be able to play ZP:S after you purchase and install L4D. Can install straight off steam too. The games are very different so it's worth a look :)
Yeah, get Left 4 Dead, you will be able to play all mods that do not use HL2 assets, making it a great deal. Zombie Panic, Age of Chivalry, Insurgency and DIPRIP are great examples of mods you will be able to play by purchasing L4D for PC.
was expecting a one minute trailer with very simple narrative, but this turned out to be a pretty cool machinima and I got a good impression of the gameplay - downloading now!

I think you guys should do another trailer highlighting Zombie Team tactics - with L4D so close around the corner, you need to be emphasizing your differences between L4D as much as possible.
