Requesting Artillery Support...

Hello and welcome to another update of Traction Wars. This update we have some Work-in-Progress renders of the British Ordnance QF 25 pounder by Wyvern. It will be providing the main artillery support to the British team in the mod. We also have our first video preview with a turntable presentation of both the the German Panzer Pz.IIL "Luchs" featured in November as well as the new British Ordnance QF 25 pounder.

The Ordnance QF 25 pounder better known simply as a 25 pounder, was arguably the best artillery piece of the Second World War. Although less powerful than many of the other types of artillery used during the war, it did have a longer range than most but was ideally suited for the British tactic of suppressive fire. The damage which the gun caused, as well as the speed at which the artillery control system could respond, lead some Germans to believe that the British had produced an automatic version of this famous howitzer. The gun could be fired at a rate of between 6-8 rounds per minute. The model shown is the WIP low poly version which will be the version you will see ingame once it's been textured.

Next we have a short video preview of both the Panzar IIL "Luchs" featured in November as well as the 25-pounder featured above. The video also contains your first glimse into what Stereotype Anomaly has been producing for our original soundtrack.

Finally as many of you know, it's that time of year again when Moddb have their annual Mod of the Year Competition. Being a relatively small mod at this stage (but growing quickly) we really need your votes. So if you like what you see please vote for us! Every vote really does count and it takes but a second.

Mod of the Year Awards

The team is looking for new developers to join, so if you think you have a skill we could use please fill out a recruitment form here, we are especially looking for Modellers, Texture Artists, Animators & Scripters for importing assets into CryEngine2 but we are recruiting in all areas.
That's all for this update, see you again next time.
