The map represents old Black Mesa laboratories, used before The Incident and closed for some time. Now it's the last resort for survived personnel. It has almost no Xenian activity, because of special portal reducer device, similar to that you might have seen in Blue Shift. But there is military squad field headquarters nearby and BM employees are in big danger, but because of self-made barricades with constant guarding, HECU-s can't make it to the center of "scientist's-sector".
