Post news Report RSS New way to download TK Core Edition

In a change to scheduled plans... the shitty Moddb "upload from URL" option is screwed. So heres how you can download TK Core Edition.

Posted by on

So, I was going to upload the Core Edition via the upload from URL method for file uploads on moddb. However this simply is not possible, every time I try to upload the Core Edition build from a URL Moddb fails. Every. Single. Time. I've tried repeatedly over the last few days without success both from Firefox and Internet Explorer so now I've just concluded its yet another half arsed crap feature of Moddb. How Moddb never seems to sort out its crap re-encoding of HD videos (it'll make them look worse than 360p quality...) awful, and I mean truly awful servers for uploading, and now even bloody uploading from URLs not working utterly defies belief.

The good news? You all get the Core Edition to download and play a little early. To download just click this link; TK Singularity Core Edition for SoC 1.0005

Try not to let the Zone kill you too quickly :)

If I can ever get the god awful upload from URL method to fluke a success there will be a download method in the usual downloads section as well.

What is screwed? Is 1.98 GB not over your user upload limit? The error message probably does not say it fails because it has problems processing too large files.

No 1.98GB is substantially under the supposedly maximum upload limit of moddb, which is 8GB. Uploading to this site in any form with larger files is nothing but a test of patience that ultimately ends in failure unless by some miracle it flukes success.

Hmmm, but are you trying to upload from Google Drive or Dropbox or direct link (to a file on your own server)? Could you post that link here?

It should be obvious, but AFAIK, MEGA is not supported. Most "unprocessed" indirect URLs cannot be used to upload from URL either.

I know others who upload small things from mega URLs to moddb fine. As I said, the issue is with large files moddb supposedly supports. Clearly it does not, or with great difficulty at least.

No, MEGA urls will not work. Even asked the site founder INtense about it. Not sure who those people are, but MEGA is not supported.

Question is do you have an premium account on mega? In some cases mega won't allow me to download file over 1 gb in one go. If they are divided in parts its all ok.

I've just started putting TK on the nexus, moddb is a pain in the arse now with its lack of compatibility with so many things.

Mod plays fine, ( grass draw distance of 209 to test for now, GI on standard, FPS is fine. ) Really am enjoying the moisture on the screen, from the rain.
