Here is the latest in our new weekly Overgrowth alpha format! David himself took some time to illustrate the traditional changelog in video form.

Don't forget that you can help support us, try out our weekly alphas (such as the one in the video), and chat with other preorderers in the Secret Preorder Forum by preordering Overgrowth.

Be sure to watch it in HD!

The features highlighted in the above video are as follows (among some extra ones thrown in for good measure):

- Initial knife slash controls
- Can connect weapons to characters with alt-click to spawn with them
- Can climb ledges while holding light weapons
- Characters don't drop weapons when switching AI/player control
- Fixed alpha version label on main menu
- Joysticks only enable once their input changes
- Jumping through plants causes ragdoll if greater than speed threshold
- Added error message for missing plant texture files
- Fixed problem with writing to log file
- Disabled 'b' animation debug key
- Changed anmcache suffix to eliminate old cache files
- .dmp filenames get version number from version.xml
- Turned off AI communication logging
- Disabled "same origin policy" in Awesomium for mod support

Thanks as always for all the support! See you guys in IRC and the forums.

And it's looking like physics became better... Maybe because developers just adjusted NPC fight parameters?

Very cool. Just pre-ordered and didn't honestly expect it to run very well on my Mac, but it runs quite smooth. You had me at knife fighting.

Insane Gameplay. I gotta say the movements of those Rabbits look damn smooth. The slow motion effect at 0:31 was sweet too. Is there a dash move yet? Jumping forward with a slash or something similar? You can run pretty fast and jump large distances so it would be pretty awesome if there was a move like that :D

It might just be a sign of the times, but I'm more excited about this game than I was about Minecraft!

Is there gonna be pouncing like in lugaru? That would look ******* incredible in this engine with these assets.

Epic! OwO Now if is about ninja bunnies, now imagine you can drop a knife like Lugaru, kill in silence by behind OR imagine if your bunny can use 2 knifes (and it will be the unique weapon can use 2 weapons in each hand but you will not able of jump high terrains), maybe the character will use special techniques or something like.

Congrats guys, I loved the vid and the cool fights with the assassins bunnies. o3o

Perhaps Wolfire will make knives more effective than larger weapons when attacking medium armored enemies, but a knife wielding character will have a difficult time blocking attacks from larger weapons.
