I suppose I should post some more recent news. Recently it's mostly been about adding things rather then changing so there will be a few new things in the next update.
Alright so if you've followed this mod sense the beginning you'll know it started out as Violet Alliance. Believe me I wasn't to big on it's name but it's all I could think of at the time. When it started out I received a lot of negative comments and messages. Another modder told me that anyone who is a Star Wars fan is welcome in the Empire at War community. When I decided to join I was expecting to get smiles or at least a complement or two but people on here was harsh, saying this mod was stupid and the Rebels are dumb. Still I kept trying to make it better. Did you know that Alliance at War almost didn't exist. The night before the night Violet Alliance evolved into Alliance at War I was deciding on what path to take for my mod, then the next day I figured it out and began to change everything around but it was like 9 at night and I got so frustrated with a little code for a planet ability, I just said screw it and closed down my laptop and went to watch t.v. I was thinking to myself, nobody appreciates it anyway so why continue? I think I was watching Falling Skies too 'cause that's my favorite show, then my nephew comes in and ask asked to play Empire at War so I turned back on my laptop and it said it said your work has not been saved, click close to exit out or click save to save all files and close out. So I kept moving the mouse over left and right trying to decide on if I kept wanting to work on it when my nephew says, "...well I want to try your version 'cause your colors are better than red and yellow, and things look better on it too." I got surprised, I was like wait, really? 'Cause it threw me off guard. He's like yeah, I don't know what Mechis III is but I like fighting there. So I saved my work and a few days later I posted up the first version of Alliance at War. It's hilarious now a days 'cause the people who were making fun of me and saying this mod is stupid and a waste of time are now saying it's good and they can't wait for a new update.
I was there from the beginning and lol i was the smiley faces guy :) and thanks to your nephew,can't wait for a new update keep up the good work Larry 3 and in the read me you should put your Nephew in it how he encouraged you :).
