Back at it after a little bit of a break. Trees implemented.

Hey. So after a little break from developing this, I've decided to come back to it. I don't want to leave this game unfinished, as I've worked pretty hard on it, and have a pretty playable base finished. I want to keep working on it, so I've decided to pick it up again.


In the screenshot here, I've added some trees. As you can see, I've decided to go for a digital, spacey feel, but with organic places and environments to give some depth. It went from the tree on the right, which was just basically planes of glass between squares of the light color to the cross-section effect trees. I've also restarting the level design process, so that I can have a direction to head in for the game, although I have quite a bit of work done gameplay-wise.

I gotta say, aesthetic wise this is one of the cooler looking things I've seen done with the BGE. Pretty is pretty no matter how competitive the graphics engine, and this...well it's pretty. I'm keeping my eye on this.
