Well its much worse than that.
Archer can't do development anymore and all attempts to find an extra developer have failed.
So its for this reason that im asking everyone; if you know anyone with C++ and Source Engine modding experience, then please please please message me and i'll pass on your information to Archer.
P.S. I'm prepared to host a server again the moment the mod is in a playable state.

Smod Standalone should fix any source game right? Just install it using that.
Could you also ask other mod developers that managed to fix their mods to work with the new format?
Though you could do that after trying the smod stand alone if you still feel it's necessary.
From what Archer told me, the process to fix it is actually much more complicated than how it sounds. He knows how to fix it, he just doesn't have the time to fix it.
This would definitely be the first mod I'd like to help with again. Had a blast playing it back in 2010. Sadly though, i'm not much a coder, more a modeler and designer.
The code is a mess, which has to be completly rewritten. The modcom code is right in between the hl2mp code, which makes it nearly impossible to port.
sad to see this news. wish valve would just leave it alone or add legacy support somehow...
