As this groups name suggests our goal is to revive the multiplayer. Stock Homeworld 2 is great but some of the mods out there are absoloutly brilliant! I have taken the liberty to compile a list of the best mods out there. Keep in mind that these are in no particular order and some are still in their development stages.
Homeworld:Complex. This mod is extremely well polished. It adds a whole ton of new things along with an entire new game experience. If your tired of stock Homeworld 2 then this is for you!

Star Trek: Continuum. There are lots of Star Trek mods for Homeworld 2 out there but none as outstanding as this one! Ever wanted to direct giant green cubes or ambush enemys with ships that have cool names? This ones for you! Moddb.com
In the Orbit of God. This mod is still in development stages however it still looks like a promising one.

The Price of Freedom. This mod(According to the developer) is undergoing a radical change as he wasnt satisfied with the most recent version of the mod. One of my personal favorites, this one has been around for quite a while. Moddb.com
R.E.A.R.M. This mod adds alot of new ships and a few new mods while sticking to the classic Homeworld 2 gameplay. Moddb.com
Path to Victory. This mod(If i am correct is in a state of halted development) adds alot of new races and a completly new system to Homeworld 2. Definetly worth a shot to anyone who hasnt tried it!

Last but most definetly not least is Homeworld 2: FX - Commander. This mod has been around for a while and adds a plethora of new things. Although many think it is dead its quite the opposite.

Yeah the new TPOF is being slowly built, but I learned a lot from the first game so we should be good this time around.

I think the older multiplayer mods by Olmys are worth mentioning. Every single one fundamentally changes the way you play the game, and was the inspiration of many of these newer mods that change around how the game plays.

I think you need to make the distinction between FX Commander and FX Empires.

I could mention more mods, but I think the above (in addition to what you've already listed) offer the best examples of the human vs human gameplay that has been created in HW2.

PTV doesn't work on multiplayer as far as I know.
halo homefront is a good one to check still in Dev though but what they've got looks intersting

Its an total-conversion mod wich addes new graphics, gameplay and a new singleplayer campaign/storyline :D
