Other Stuff
- News is slow with XMAS and New Year to distract us, however for the Standalone game developers, 4D Rulers have just slashed the price of their game engine Amp II putting them in direct competition with GarageGamers Torque
Video of the Week
This week i've picked an entertaining video from a crazily creative mod Chase The Chicken, check it out:
$1000 dollars is hardly putting it in competition with Torque...
AMP? Isn't that the engine that doesn't even support a moving game world?
There is a non-commerical license available for 100$ unless I am mistaken?
Mods generally aren't commercial, hence this counts as personal use. If you want to use it to release your game for profit, you need the $1000 commercial licence.
and Torque is $100 for commercial use, so...
plus there's that shader engine for torque too
You're avatar is scaring me Cheap.
CHASE THE CHICKEN!
Sorry cheapy, but last I checked, the $100 for torque is personal use only. The commercial use package is $750.
Oh, sorry for the double post but I just found out something I think is important regarding the Amp II engine.
The next version coming out, 1.4, will have physics support, which should be something to consider.
nice...great idea...very original!
Chase the chicken may work better under the name, getting the **** or even choking the chicken.
chase the chicken - LOL what an idea i love it lol
WTF!?
looks like a treat but still: WTF!
i had chicken last night...
