Yes it´s true, mutants as playable faction - The Forgotten will happen in Tiberium Essence.
I know it is been a long time since last update, but to be honest I was not sure what to do with TE after that. After many thinking and testing different things I have come to decision that Forgotten as playable faction is way to go. The process that lead to this point was also slow and uncertain to the last moment and its not quite finished yet, but at least I have finally something to show you.
Also there was some ups and downs, things happened that I can´t talk about, so it was not easy to keep it going this year.
Anyway rest assured mod is alive and it's going to be bigger.
I have a lot to show you so there will be more updates soon this is just beginning.

This is awesome. You should do a CABAL faction next. Heck, I'll help you in any way I can, if you want to make that happen. :D
CABAL would be awesome, but if CABAL was still operational, Nod shouldn't have cyborgs. They could have some enhanced Elite Cadres though.
They should have different kinds of "Cyborgs", if you will - In the style of infantry that are enhanced with cybernetics, rather than full-on cyborgs controlled by a central AI. Think Spartans from Halo, with lost limbs replaced by tech and with chips implanted in their brains.
Full-On Cyborgs like the Cyborg Commando and normal Cyborg would go to CABAL.
Absolutely agreed. CABAL as last faction is a must. A faction made of cyborgs, robots and drones. No humans allowed. And the Brotherhood will be a "pure human" faction.

What sort of asthetics do you think the Forgotten will use as a larger faction?
Also, a "CABAl faction" doesnt make much sense.
CABAL sort of was a faction of its own in Tiberian Sun Firestorm, but most of its tech was stolen from Nod, with a Firestorm Generator stolen from GDI, and only a couple of things were CABAL's own designs. Westwood planned to have CABAL as its own faction in their C&C3;.
Westwood said a lot of things, and a lot of it was never finalised.
As Tiberium Essence is meant to be a "fix" for C&C3; and not a standalone universe, CABAL makes little sense still.

This is just awesome. I feel sad that the Forgotten mod, with its interesting albeit short campaign, didn't go any further than the stated goal. It'll be good to see another take on the matter.
Putting the Forgotten as a playable fourth faction will require some extra help especially when the guys from CNCLabs have done already to their own Forgotten mod.

Love the news, been loving the 1.6. Still chomping at the bit for more stuff. Love the look of the Colossus (reminds me of a MechWarrior Dashi) makes me wish there were more walkers on all sides. And I think the jet-pack troops are still a little overpowered.

I wonder if Carnius will be making his own vision of the Forgotten faction but I really wish he could create Forgotten units and structures based from Tiberium Alliances.

Curious if a campaign would happen or if it's just a multiplayer thing.
As for CABAL, I don't think it'd work, because essence is a remake of C&C3; where the factions keep their old and useful tech and have their new ones as well (if I'm correct) so CABAL should still be dead. (Not counting Kane's wrath)
If anymore factions were to be introduced, it should be minor factions that would work that never got much attention. Like Scavengers or Sword of Chagall.
Not requesting, it'd be cool. But work on this first before worrying about anything else
I would love to see a Tiberian Sun building replacement for C&C3;, if only because I never got why they shifted back to a Tiberium Dawn style of structure.
Also the style is awesome.
i was happy with tiberian essence as is. you keep topping your self. EA should hire you for the next C&C
