Here's the development snapshot of week 8, 2012! We've been a little bit busy with the LEGO trip and Mojam, so the list of changes is a bit shorter than usual:
-Added a defence mob to villages
-Added up-side-down stairs
-Many changes to the world and lighting system

why add a new defense mob for villages? why dont they just have solider villages instead of that iron giant?
technically, they are the soldier villagers. but, still, mainly as Mojang like mystical things in Minecraft.
like dragons. and creepers. and small blue cages that spawn mobs.
and don't forget the fact that jellyfish somehow have the ability of flight and fireball shooting.
oh, and that sticking a pumpkin on something is the equivalent of implanting complex AI that knows what target is an enemy or not, and then fire in their direction without moving their hands, with a somehow infinite amount of snowballs.

It's more original. As of now the villagers are mute, have an odd appearance, are unable to defend themselves, and are able to construct bigass rock monsters to do so.
Pretty damn mysterious.

Nice. I can't wait to see the soldier mob in villages.
Downloading snapshots for me takes maybe thrice as long to install because when I open it up, it turns the .jar file into a .zip file, so I need to reconvert it. :c
When your saving it. Do save as and rename it minecraft.jar
Apparently they spawn in relation to a threat, I just went to an existing village on a friend's server and the 'iron golem' hadn't spawned yet.
