Due to summer things are going a bit slower than usual, but this doesn't mean we don't have anything new to show.
Thanks to our previous media release we have gotten our hands on some very fine weapon animators: Book, Mullet, General Tso and Sober are ing to get our last few weapons animated and ingame. The new railgun was high priority and has already been animated by Book, expect ingame footage in the next media update.
Jake is currently making the long awaited alien animations, so the last piece of the puzzle will soon be ingame too.
Our mapping department continues to raise the bar. Unsain started a new map called "ol_sewage", and his first map "ol_bunker" is nearing release quality rapidly. A new recruit in the mapping dept. is Leon aka Teh, who's making an industrial map for us. Venom_Snake's "ol_reaction" is also nearing final stages. Purerage is finalizing "ol_downfall" and Simon is finalizing "ol_undersiege".
As you can see, lots of map being made or getting finalized, but not to fear, we have one map that is actually final already: "ol_styx" by Simon. Here's a few shots of it:

Ippo: the map featured in this release was not made by Unsain, he's making ol_bunker and ol_sewage (bunker should be hitting final soon I hope). We will show that map as soon as it's done.
Varsity: I don't know what you mean by $detail?
It's a VMT command. Puts a detail texture over the base texture when the player is close enough and can produce the sort of gritty feel you've got here cheaply and quickly, and at a nice high quality.
Looking closely and again though, seems it isn't in use. Which makes the textures all the tastier! :)

Wesley, I am well aware that the ones that are of this media release aren't Unsain's. I meant I just checked around the site and saw what he had created, since you mentioned him in the news post.

Yo Zack. Your comments got me to finally register at ModDB. We will probably have another media release when I finish Bunker which shouldn't be too far away. BTW anime sucks.
