Maps:

The group and I are working on stories for the GDI and Nod (The Scrin will not be a main team for the 1st release).

NOD Prologue:

"March 15 2072,
Today....Today has been a glorious day for the Brotherhood; Although it started out as any other day....I had just walked out of the GDI barracks ready to repair the damn Fuel gauge control of the war factory, the tiberium mist rising out of the tiberium chasm this day was somewhat calming, it would not be calm for long... When i finished i went back to my bunk, that's when the white lady's voice screeched over the secured NOD radio frequency, she ordered me to prepare the operation and that it was a go. A bit of time passed...nothing...then her voice came over the radio again, she needed me to disable the GDI defense grid (The idiots had put all of the power controls into a single grid building!), i went into the facility -that was the easy part, a quick flash of my ID and I was in. I rerouted all of the power causing a short circuit that disable all of GDI precious defenses. 15 seconds later Yelling and gunfire erupted out of the entrance of the facility, soon i was traveling with the white lady back to the rendezvous point - with plans for the obelisk of darkness." - Henry Liu, NOD operative stationed at GDI's ECHO research facility

this is recalling the secret NOD raid on GDI's ECHO research facility, map progress: 90%

GDI Prologue:

In the aftermath of the GDI/NOD alliance, it is believed that the mutants and civilians in the area assaulted the conference building. We can assume that GDI and NOD managed to get their leaders out of the area and they captured the rebels, but our new investigations show that.." -W3N news network, Jim Blair's Straight news "

recalling the rebellion of civilians of Manchester after the GDI/NOD alliance: 0%

Seems awesome.

Will there be FMVs or just Generals-style announcements before each mission?
I don't mind either way

Probably General style, maybe animations like in tib sun (if we can get a few good animators)

hi iv bin learning how to do concept art and would love it if i could help in any way coz i hate what EA did to CNC 4!!! Iv done script writing aswel so could help with the story line but dont wanna step on any 1's toes coz i have no experience in mod making, but i am really interested. IV been working on mutant weaponary and buildings coz im hoping some one will make a mutant faction, as mutants have been around in nearlly every CNC game. Please replie if you think i can help or can e-mail my concepts of mutant faction to you to see if its usable in any way.

FMVs are hard to acquire, not to mention who will play Kane. So far, if you're up to the task, perhaps The Forgotten team can help you, they did put their own FMVs into their mod and it works. ;)

CGIs are fun to watch, but making them is time-consuming, so far, I'm not sure if you all can do that. TS' CGI are mostly 3D though. C&C3 got some secret FMVs which EA hid them behind our backs, so we can use them. C&C4 I got the feeling has no CGI at all.

Speaking of missions, despite you might follow a little bit of C&C4, EA loves to interact the storylines side by side, so it's usually confusing & disorientating as I watched the C&C4 FMVs as well as playing the C&C3 missions. I suggest that you follow EA's GDI storyline while Nod & Scrin gets a totally different perspective, that's how Westwood did with their storylines back in their old C&Cs, here's what I'm thinking :

GDI : Might follow EA's but without featuring the Commander's wife.
Nod : You play as the original Kane following commander, NOT by the GDI Commander like in C&C4's FMV who also takes control of Nod forces. Plot might change to avoid the same ending as GDI's. Yes, it's the "What if" concept.
Scrin : The huge invasion is confirmed by the Overlord, in the end, Earth is finally dead, all completely covered in Tiberium like a crystallized crystal ball.

I understand, me too, they may not be big star actors, but at least they are on Westwood's level, serious acting and non-Hollywood actors. Compare to EA, they are the reverse, they're more on bad acting and Hollywood actors. Or in this case, having their own FMVs is better than no FMVs at all. ;)

WW's CGI are the best. EA doesn't want to invest those, they do not have their own CGI room and they usually outsource them, which results in high cost and they could not make them for C&C4, which you probably see none. Modern Warfare 1 & 2's CGIs are the best today, don't know about the other games' CGI though.

Long ago in the 90s, WW make those CGIs so many like hell, I got the feeling it was cheap during that time. Today, they're now very expensive to produce, but I could be wrong. Even with Jon Van comes in, I bet EALA still doesn't want to build a CGI room of their own.
