-Beach Head and Hill-
The second map to be showcased for the Zero Hour Battlefields is called Beach Head and Hill, and appears in Zero Hour Battlefields Map Pack 1. This is a two person map, like all maps in the first map pack.
Theme
The theme of this map is that of an amphibious landing on both sides of the islands. One side is that of a U.S landing, and the other is the G.L.A landing spot. Both of these landing have been costly due to intense bombardment from offshore ships and artillery. Both sides are fighting for this small island and one huge asset stands in the middle. A long ridgeline, or hill, named "The Wall". Constantly shelled, the ridge is full of scorch marks, and a single ramp on either side provides the only means of getting up there short of helicopter transport.

Strategy
The basic strategy of this map is quite frankly a King of the Hill sort of strategy. Simply put, the owner of "The Wall" has a major advantage over his adversary, as he has the advantage of height. His opponent must climb up the long ramp first in order to even hope to displace him. Meanwhile, he can rain down firepower on the oncoming troops, and the defending troops have plenty of bunkers to hide in, making them even more effective. Tech structures on this map are both Economic and Defensive tech structures. Two Oil Fields are found on either side of the ridge, and two Artillery Platforms are located on it, making it even more difficult to take.

Location
On either ends of the map, there are the two landing zones complete with destroyed U.S and G.L.A vehicles, on their respective sides, sitting on the shelled out beach. Unmanned landing craft are left stranded on the beach, half in and half out of the water. Further inland are the building spaces, wide open fields with plenty of resources and two oil fields. In the very center of the map is the strategic vantage point, "The Wall". On this giant ridge sit four bunkers for infantry to be garrisoned in, and two artillery platforms to rain down shells on oncoming troops. Don't forget that there is enough build space on this ridge to add all sorts of structures, making it that much harder to take over the hill.

Conclusion
Beach Head and Hill is a King of The Hill style map with plenty of strategic advantages and disadvantages. Remember to take the hill fast, and you will soon have a strategic edge over your opponent, still stuck below on the ground, and don't forget to capture the tech structures that may be vital to your mission's success.
You make zero hour look bad.
And you make society look bad, so thanks.
