Its been a long overdue update for Killing Floor fans, KF 2.5 is on it's way with some killer new features.
What started as a patch has become a standalone release with many updates and new features which should please old players and new comers alike! Some of the standout 2.5 features are:
- Gibbing.
- Realistic movement / Aiming system.
- Updated skins and textures.

Best news I have heard in months! Killing Floor is my favorite mod hands down.
PLEASE! Create a new, complete installer. For Killing Floor you have to get patches galore, at the moment. I jut want a complete installer with all updates in one.
So that, after installing all the Unreal Patches, I don't have to spend another hour installing all of yours.
A full installed would be great. I'm on a limited download limit here at university.
It's fantastic to see this mod up and running still. This has to be one of my favourites. Keep up the good work.
I agree with Sin, full installer would be awesome. KF is an incredible mod, had so much fun with it. Gotta reinstall UT for this one :P
The 2.5 release WILL come with its own installer :)
And to clarify - 2.5 is standalone. So it will not require any previous patches. It will also be somewhat larger than your average patch because of this

Limited downloading at university doing a computing course is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, especially if you're going to be needing software that generally wants downloading online (e.g 3dsMax, Photoshop)
I'd have serious words with someone about that.
Looking forwards to 2.5. I never could get the previous versions to run properly.
I have a 5gb limit in my accommodation so if I wanted to download something large I would have to buy a usb hard drive, download it at university and lug the files back home.
No more random downloads for me now.

If I could wish for something it'd be an SP mode you'd like to come back to and the blur effect gone or optional because I'm on OpenGL.

KF is a really fun multiplayer mod. I hope left4dead won't steal too much of your thunder.
This is great Kadish, any hopes of releasing some of the community made maps with this one, and how many times have you said 'this is the last update im doing, im tired of working on Killing Floor and want to work on somthing else.' ?
And how many times have new ideas cropped up in my head ;) I think the delivery of further updates is a single area where fallacious statements can be forgiven

"2.5 is standalone. So it will not require any previous patches" So does this mean they will be two versions of the Killing floor game, the KF 2.11 mod game and the KF 2.5 mod game? And would any of the custom maps of the 2.11 patch work in the 2.5 version of KF! Or is this 2.5 version only having official KF maps and no custom maps. Also will there be different server for the two versions of the mod? What ever happens look forward to playing it when released!

This mod will still require the UT04 game to play this game I have learnt the other day, but not need any previous patches and files of KF, I Think it’s a total overwrites of what you already have in the KF 2.11 Community patch!
