The WWI Source team bring you our first official release of 2009
With the combined efforts of the 3 mods, this is fast becoming something big.
There is so much content from all the mods that we are still sorting out what
to use in the new mod, not that its a bad thing, it means we can only use the best of what we have..
The coders have been really busy getting the gameplay code up and running so we can get a alpha play in as soon as possible.
All the maps are coming along nice, as well as you can see our models.
We will be releasing official news updates once a month, but you might get a sneaky bit of info over at our forums.
I will be also setting up a recruitment forum on the website, so if you
got something you think you can offer to the mod let us know.

When posting news the embededd thumbnails that go along with the images are one size only. If you stretch them the resolution will F up.

This is a NEW MOD, just because it has some of the team from the trenches does not make this the trenches, thats like saying this is "In Flanders Field", again this would be wrong.

make sure there crosshairs.no one wants to play WWI SOURCE with no crosshair and then we couldnt shoot right and than i will explod with lolness
I prefer no crosshairs and iron sights but no aiming crazyness plz.
It's just bad resolution thumbnails, click on them for better quality.
This sounds interesting, nice to see that mod teams can actually merge to create something together with a shared vision instead of competiting and having their communities hating on the other.
I'm looking forward to this one, keep it up!
I think a WWI mod is the only one that can get away with having brutal, bloody stalemates in their maps, and actually be realistic and fun. I hope it ends up as such!

**** YEAH! Always wanted a WW1 mod for the source engine. The Trenches for goldsource was rad.
This mod is certainly coming along. Nice screenshots. WW1 and Trench warfare has always interested me in video games; can't wait to actually play a mod that does it right.
exactly a WWI mod how come no one else thought of that.OR EVEN A WWI GAME.lol jk about a WWI game but we do need more WWI games instead of WWII
