So the servers have gone a little quiet of late, does that phase us? HELL NO! Will we sit back and be all like "Awww, people aren't playing as much as we'd hoped..." NO WAY! We love Jailbreak, we think you should too. So that's why we're holding the Big Breakout Weekend!
Big Breakout Weekend!
This weekend, starting Friday night at 7:30pm (GMT, UK Time), we'll be holding several scheduled games of Jailbreak: Source 0.6 on specific servers. All the developers will be playing, and we'll be turning on "all talk", so you can chat with us directly if you have a working, non-ear-raping microphone.
To find out when the games begin, join our Jailbreak Steam Group to get scheduled reminders or join the Let's Play Jailbreak Steam Group to get involved in pickup games!
Giveaway: Win ANOTHER Game!
I'm also going to be running a giveaway! I'll be playing at six allotted times, on six different servers over the weekend. At any time, during any one of those matches, I'll be giving away one Steam game to ONE lucky player! So if you want a free game, GET PLAYING THIS WEEKEND!
Ellis plays Jailbreak!
Turns out that smooth talkin', lady lovin', zombie killin' badass Ellis from L4D2 is a fan of Jailbreak! He's gone out on a limb on his Facebook and YouTube pages with a direct plea to his friends to get more people playing, so if you don't want him to shove a 'nade up your southern bee-hind, ya'll best do what he says!
Jailbreak: Wars!
Shortly after the Big Breakout Weekend, we'll be launching the annual Jailbreak: Wars! This hotly contested clan tournament was won last year by (.fire). We're currently accepting clans for registration, so if you're in a clan and you like Jailbreak, then head over to our forums and sign yourselves up!
Prizes are yet to be announced, but you guys KNOW they'll be good, considering our last two competitions!
Patch coming soon!
We're currently working on a patch to fix a number of the issues and concerns raised during the last three weeks. It will most likely be out within a couple of weeks, so make sure to watch out for it! We plan to fix/change the following elements:
- Reduce length of lockdown timers in several maps!
- Change how Perks are distributed (Automatically level up every two rounds)
- Slightly reduce the power of the Railgun
- Add more power / range to the Medigun
- Increase size of Point Award Messages
- Fix Madesco escape routes and fix broken Lockdown
- Add Mini Deathball to a couple of maps (Mizraim, Deepcore)
- Decrease default respawn time of Weapon Pads to 20 seconds
- Add extra support for various events to support SourceMod better (thanks to NEOTOKYO for this!)
Don't forget to add yourself to our Mod Watch if you haven't already! And if you fancy getting more involved in our community, then join our forums over at www.jailbreaksource.com or learn something new about the Source Engine from the Jailbreak Blog!
I'm glad you guys are working to keep people playing. This looks like a lot of fun, great job putting it together. I'll definately be there c:

We're having a pretty hard time tracking this bug down, seems to be happening at random almost.
Reinstalling seems to be fixing it for now...
You'd probably get even more players if you put down what time It'll start for the eastern coast of america.
The first game will start at 14:30pm EST, and the second game will take place at 7:30pm EST. This will be the same for each day.
Thanks to INtense I've added a countdown timer to the news post now, so you know exactly when it starts!
I'll be there
fun!
Maybe add so its a health symbole over the head of the one yelling for a medic?
That patch sounds awesome!
Seems like it'll address most if not all that needs to be addressed.
Great :D
any clans out there need a player? :D
Ah yes, unfortunately I'm one of those people with an 'ear-raping' microphone. Nice post though, I shall try to get playing soon (:
