After 492 years of development, Jailbreak: Source 0.6 is almost done! So this week we're following up last weeks reveal of the King of the Hill gamemode, with the second of several trailers showing off ingame footage from the next release. This week, it's all about Deathball!
Deathball is simple, keep the ball in, keep the enemy in. If you find yourself dead and locked up, just hit the release button and run straight out... Unless the ball is in your goal, in which case... Watch out for the ducks. No really. Pro-tip: Chainguns are rather efficient ball propellants. Your face is not.

Hmmm ducks?
And I love how that map is a DeathBall map, it seems perfect!
replace the gordon hands already
Once you've learned some manners, maybe we will ;)
More to the point... those aren't gordon hands.
indeed, though different hands for each team would be suhweeeeeet
Working on it! Don't expect it for this version though :)
Each team have different hand/arm skins. The Dino's have green scaly fingers while the Robot's have fully gloved hands with robotic sections. We will be replacing the hand models in a later version like Wills pointed out.
Lol so long the hands don't interrupt the game play experience: Low priority.
But that's my opinion and I have no idea how much work it is to re skin, but i do not think its done in a snap, then it would be alot of add-ons to hl2 already.
Awesome with the new gamemode :)
Keep up the good work! Maybe JB:S will get the MOTY this year.
ps: maybe u could replay how long it would take to just, hm lets say make just a diffrent color?
I think the biggest problem isn't reskinning the hands but modeling new ones. New hands have to rigged and animated and I doubt they will be able to use the same hand models for both teams. A dinosaur's hands look different than a robot's after all. :p This means the team might have to create two separate models for each gun, which is quite a bit of work.
Katana-ing the death ball, Nice!
No one's commented on the bold-ed 492 years of developement? That's odd...
Why is it 492 years? How can I live that long too? Or perhaps, more importantly, where did you get modern computing tech and software in the 1600s so you could get such a head start?
Doc Brown, of course.
So many awesome things coming out. First, it was Nazi-controlled dinosaurs, now, its robots versus raptor humanoids in a battle of life and death over a seemingly useless ball.
The ball isn't useless bud. As well as being quite the weapon in its own right (getting steam rolled by it, isn't recommended), each team is able to let itself out of jail until the opposing team actually scores, and keeps the ball inside the goal. So if the enemy team scores against you, and then you are killed, you will not be able to escape.
I really love the so called "tron" look to it. I absolutely love the whole style of the game. I will give it a shot soon.
