MULTIPLAYER
We are working with GameRanger and Voobly to have official Expanding Fronts game lobbies hosted. You should still be able to play multiplayer via Direct IP and LAN connections.
In the meantime, if you REALLY want to play EF through GameRanger, move your battlegrounds_x1.exe out of your game directory, and rename "Battlegrounds_x2.exe" to "Battlegrounds_x1.exe"
Attempting to play EF with players who do not have the mod installed, or are playing different versions of the mod may result in a crash.
THANK YOU
Again, we thank you for showing interest in our mod. This beta will be used as a gauge to both fix the current bugs and balancing issues, and to influence how new features will be added. If you have problems installing, or playing the mod, you can post a comment here, on HeavenGames, or Facebook. Thanks again!

I ******* LOVE YOU!!! THIS IS AWESOME!
Is it possible to play the original campaigns with these fixes btw?
It might be. Only the Empire has been significantly altered in this release, but the campaign files haven't been modified to adapt to all of the changes yet.
OK, thanks.
OK, I just game the mod a quick go. It works great! My only advice would be that you should pay attention to the laser blasts. Most of the are really LOUD. They sound good and there indeed are more of them playing at once but they are really loud. I don't remember them being so loud.
Noted. We'll see what we can do about it.
Hey i installed the mod. I clicked on x2 launcher. And everything is still same on standard game menu every army is same.On Tech tree section still same.
I installed via Admin mode and using SWBG Saga edition. It autofind the directory.Installation was succesful. So what am i doing wrong???
AAA ok. I thought that the sub armies will be listed as normal armies. So Only Galactic Empire is available and it consists of every subfaction units of its,not divided, am i right?
Correct. The Sub-Faction options do not appear until you reach Tech Level 3. For now, only the Empire should have them.
I haven't time to play just checked the new units. Can you elaborate more? Will we choose subfaction on starting screen or given an option on tech 3?And which subfaction do those units belong to?ANy lore about them ?I know i am asking for too much but i love your work just dithcing the details out of it :D
All of that stuff will come soon.
Just tried it. Great quality stuff, so far the feature I liked the most is the increased FPS. Can't wait to see this finished, keep it up because you're doing a great job.
Love this mod. I just played this, and all the new units & buildings really amp up the game! I especially like the sniper troops. Awesome job!!!
Some units are not located accurately in tech tree and some aren't placed there also like Shock Trooper.Just saying, cause i like the game's tech tree ,it's beneficial when producing strategy :)
We're aware of the tech tree issue. The game's currently in beta, and it's very likely that we'll end up moving lots of stuff around as players present issues to us.
It'd be a big hassle to reshuffle the tech tree whenever changes are made, so unfortunately it may stay in its current state until the Empire is finally 'locked down' in terms of its units and techs.
I have another question. Can this mod somehow take use of the widescreen patch? In the past, you told me that it will be able to use it.
Widescreen features are in the works, as displayed by the newer screenshots. There are still some stability issues to work out, which is why it was not included in this version.
Ok. Thanks for the info.
For some reason I only have 3 options for Imperial sub-factions. Armor, Navy, and Support. Other than that everything is running great!
To select the Infantry faction, you have to build enough Tech Level 3 buildings for the blurred out TL4 icon to disappear. We're looking into ways to fix that issue.
Cool! Thanks for the tip =D

Minor Bug report. I've played the Rebellion only yet, and there seems to be a minor problem with the B-Wings. When they are ordered to turn, they paused a few frames, before doing so. When they fire, there is a blast sfx two times, but the second blast comes later than the sound and don't sync. Also the blast doesn't come out of the blasters.
for some reason whenever i try to unzip the files my computer crashes. and later when i try to run the program to install the program cant run. anyone know how to fix this?
