The Scarlet Banners of Soviet Glory fly above our heads comrades! Happy May Day! Let us continue the path that Lenin began!

Posted by on

The Red Fleet celebrated May Day with a show of force over the capital world of New Leningrad today as millions across the Soviet Union took to the streets to show their support for the Soviet Government. Three squadrons of Red Fleet vessels, estimated at over 130 ships made several passes over New Moscow City dazzling both onlookers and Premier Sokolovsky who presided over the celebrations from the base of Lenin Tower. The fleet then made its way into orbit before jumping out of system presumably to October Station to take part in an official Red Space Forces ceremony taking place there.

The Red Army and Red Air Force were also present, as Soviet troops made the 7km march through Red Square flanked on either side by crowds as aircraft roared overhead. The 1st Guards Tank Division were the guests of honor this year, fresh from their victories on Tanarsus, with the 401st Guards Motor-Rifle Division, 207th Guards Tank Division, and 37th Guards Shock Army also represented. The display of military might was not lost on the foreign officials invited by the Soviet Government.

Indeed, this year’s ceremony is notable for the inclusion of dignitaries not only from Soviet allies such as the New Weimar Republic, but also from the Democratic Federation. Representatives from the United States, British-Canadian Commonwealth, French Republic, Federation of Oceania, and the Andrean Republic joined their counterparts from the Japanese Empire, Islamic Republic of Tawhid, Federal Nordic Cooperative and Brazilian Unitary as honored guests of the Soviet Union. The Greater German Reich ambassador was notably absent, having been arrested by the KGB at the outbreak of the border wars.

The ceremony concluded as Admiral Anatole Petrovich, was named Hero of the Soviet Union and bestowed the Order of Lenin, his image televised to every world in the Soviet Union.

Sorry, but there is one thing I noticed in the list of factions, "English-Canadian Commonwealth". You mean "BRITISH-Canadian Commonwealth"? Sorry, but I had to point that out since I'm Welsh and I feel as if the English are destroying our identity, same with Scotland's ((Well, I don't mind the English, but I just hate it when people say "England" when they mean "Britain")). If you could rename it to the "British-Canadian Commonwealth" I would be very happy :)
