Finally! Build 2600 was the chosen one and Insurgency Beta 2.1 RC is out! We thank all of you for your patience and for the great atmosphere on our IRC channel and forums prior to this release. It has been a long, quite funny night (heck, and morning!) and it has been great to talk to all of you. A big thanks for your support during these months of development!
I'd like to publicly thank the whole development team for what has been a great collective effort. It has taken a long time and it hasn't been easy, but it was worth the wait. For many reasons, this was a very important milestone for us too. Now it's time for you to check it out, and hopefully enjoy playing a new version of Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat as much as we've enjoyed making it.
In the following hours, forum threads and polls will go live at the official forums to gather your feedback about the new version. Remember: INS 2.1 RC is a release candidate, so we want to hear from you, and give it a few finishing touches over the following weeks! In case you missed it, you can still check the 2.1 RC changelog in our official forums or this same site to find out what's new from 2.0.
Please make sure you download and install the INS 2.1 RC Shader Effects Update after installing the full client. It fixes an issue that prevented the shader effects from being displayed correctly in-game.

Insurgency always amazes me with it's quality though this desert combat doesn't interest me anymore. But bet I will give it a try once again. Good work.

I played this first insurgency and was far to buggy and laggy so just stopped playing but might give this a try should be better by now. :D

Well, Insurgency just ain't the same any more, the mod just failed on realism, at least I got Red Orchestra!
[GE]Specialist, you're wrong. Team-play is BASIC to win, and there are plenty of 1-shot-1-kills in our mod. All I can say is... go check.
Oh man, I love this mod! It's so beautiful and polished, I'd actually pay for it!
