Well personally i dont know if this is gonna be a good thing for the mod or not considering i never liked the drones in the first place, but thanks to the scripting team of HW@ which produced the drone script in the first place. Shadowgaz managed to get the code working for HWU, even with that said he will need some time to work on the ships that will be using it. I believe there are 6 drone based frigs in the mod, 4 hive frigates, and 2 drone frigates that need to be done, each with their own ship variant. Beast and Somtaaw drone frigs will launch 6 drones i believe, each drone will cost 25 Ru and 6 seconds to build, at least thats the stats on homeworld shipyards.

About the Hive frigate, the Drones should be built automatically, it wouldn't be good if you manuallt have to build them.
Also it would be good if you couldsend the drones with the special attakc button, even make the attack box, that way you wont have to focus firing on one unit at the time to launch the Drones.
Also it would be good if aggressive mode means that the drones will keep on fighting even if tehir primary target is destroyed.
About recreating the Drone frigate of Kushan, I find those to be like a lot of guns in sphere formation around the Drone frigate and that the drones is it's armament, though because of this I don't know why you'd need to launch them in the first place.
I suppose those drones work like the guns for the Drone frigate and therefor could be commanded to attack other targets by giving the attack order to the Drone frigate.
I trade my drone for the full ship working script.

I alrdy hodded the HW 1 drone and gave it to shadowgaz.
What a great news that is... Finally we get drone frigates fully operational.
Next step would be fuel and support frigates. :D

Well shadowgaz is close to getting them all done now and i just sent him the infected beast swarmer, he said he should have it all done by tomorrow.
