Left 4 Quake isn't really dying, we are making slow progress, but you see we have this very large, very heavy anchor attached to us: The lack of a mapper. It doesn't matter how many weapons we have, no matter how smart the zombies are if theres no place to play. If theres no place to put them in.
So I have a proposition. A bargain.
I would like someone or someones from our community, from our followers, who are skilled at mapping and are familiar with quake to step forward and map for us. As for the rest of our loyal followers I would like you to seek out quake mappers.
In return for this large favor, I have a big surprise for the entire community. Its not necessarily a release, more like an announcement a very big and important one, but one everyone will love. But no hints or answered questions until we get a mapper.

how do you map for the quake engine?

I have mapped with Hammer and Source SDK but i suck at mapping, well all i really know how to do with that is make a box and put NPC's and weapons in it and use different textures on different walls n put stuff in the map but thats about all i want to mension cause this comment is getting long, i would like to but im not exactly good at mapping and im not sure if there is any difference to mapping in that than in half-life.
