It's Supreme Commander 2's third anniversary of release today; March 2, 2013. As a present to players, the Supreme Commander 2 0 1 3 Mod team has released their first full official version, with promises of more developement if the mod recieves positive feedback. Here it is folks, the moment that nearly 100 ModDB Watchers and 250+ Steam Group fans have been waiting for; the release of Supreme Commander 2 0 1 3 Mod Version 1.0! After several pre-alphas, 9 public alphas, and 4 public betas, (plus dozens of playtest versions in between), the final 1.0 release is finally here, and perfectly timed for SupCom2's third anniversary of release no less.
Work is not yet complete; there are still some issues left to resolve, models to add, maps to re-mix, etc, but the mod has reached a level where it is ready for play by the masses, and has thus been granted a full Release Version status instead of just Beta. Stayed tuned to the pages of ModDB for an upcoming strategy guide (part of which is included in the download), tournament announcements, and plans for the future of the Mod.
A TeamSpeak3 server is also online for those looking to find people to play with or against that are mod enabled. The mod's developers often hang out there, and are a great resource for tips about how to improve your game. Point your TeamSpeak3 client to dfw01.mainvoice.net:7014 and look for our channel near the bottom of the list under the Mod Community Section.
