wait you can use cheats?, as in godmode, and impulse 101?
if he means cheats than yes, probably those cheats.. wich means downloading this is pointless because if everyone uses god mod, no one can die and you just walk to there base take the flag and walk back.

Gives all weapons
In all honesty, the newspost could've been a tad bit more tactical.
1. Err, yes, inspiring. Just mention straightaway that you spawn with all weapons regardless and that only impulse 101 will work. This will ease the heavy load the sentence now has.
2. Isn't that logical? I mean, it IS an alpha..
3. You already mentioned in the first sentence that it is fun. Regardless, now it looks as if you're saying that it's fast paces and therefor it is fun. Now you might mean that, but I will decide for myself if I like fast paced action. (I can like slow paced action but still be a great fan of CTF. Think of being a sniper or a spy. Both classes require patience and usually are combined with a relative slow pace.)
4. Though I agree that you shouldn't nag at Alpha versions, now you're simply being rude to your target audience. Plus, people might notice stuff that you and / or your team didn't notice. Thus: feedback always helps. Simply refer people with feedback to the respective forums and have a stickied thread on the forums explaining the known troublespots of the mod. In this way, people can go to the forums, see if their nag is already listed. If it is, they can rest their case but if it isn't, they can let you know. Of course you'll end up with a few people posting regardless because they didn't read the stickied threads, but you'll get people complaining / nagging / giving feedback regardless of your fourth point. (Just look at me! :P)
Asides this newspost, your usual ones are way better. I suppose it got a bit late this time? >;)

SEThorian, jeezus chill out man. Why the hell does this bother you so much - i'd rather it be laid straight out on the news like that. Than going off the point. I still downloaded it and had a game on it. And its ok. sure it needs some work but give it time.
Its only a bit of fun - so why all the hype about 1 news post?

Mods should at least have some kind of pride in their work... You've put no pride into this release, nor into your post regarding its release.
Wow, and a lot of people really interpreted it wrongly.
So I can't give some constructive critism without standing on a few people their overgrown toes?
If you can't handle any critism then don't go public.
Just for the record: I wasn't flaming nor was I bashing his mod. I was just stating a few facts about his newspost. This is called constructive critism and anyone who starts a mod (including yours truly) will get it at some point in time. I really don't see the point with all the exagurated replies of people who reckon you should just praise everything and anything.
As for the mod: I will believe anyone who says that it is a lot of fun. But I wasn't commenting on that; I commented on the news post.
And yes, putting effort into your PR is a necessity. Well, for success anyhow.

Its a news post not world peace. I didnt have to help the mod get noticed. I wrote this way since its new and to make you come up with your own opinion.
If you think you can post news better open your site and do it. :)
