This morning I received this email from Jan Tomaszewski the author of the Half Life 2 article on GameStar Online.

He had this to say:

Quote:Neil, (Thats me!)

As the author of the GameStar article, I kindly ask you to correct two mistakes, which are present in your news item at moddb.com. First: I don't conclude, the game will be shown at E3. The article states, that Valve is said to have it's own booth at this years expo -- nothing else. Second: The games won't make use of the Q3 engine. The first sentence of the article already mentions the »Valve Engine«, which will be used for the game.

Also, please allow me to recommend you the google translation. The results are much closer to reality, than to what babelfish has to offer.

Kind regards,

Jan Tomaszewski

This yet again throws the release date and the technology in use into question, allowing for more speculation.

Whatever happens I promise to keep you, the people of Moddb upto date on the Half life 2 rumour mill.
