TOWNS WILL BE GIVING FREE COPIES OF THEIR GAME AWAY IN AN EPIC
COMMENT’S CONTEST

Yes, you heard it right, our game’s mascot Napoleón, has this to say on the subject...

I’m grumpy because I just got bathed, so in penitence, you must give free copies of your game to the nice people in the comments section, announce the winners on monday, only then will I behave....” -Napoleón

Some true wisdom straight from the dog’s mouth. Let’s oblige his request shall we? Over the next week, we will be scouring the comments page for the coolest comments. The ones we feel are the most original will get a complimentary copy of our game. Winners will be announced on monday afternoon!

Good luck to everyone!

I would say something about the game, but it just bothers me that you named your dog Napoleon, didn't he lose to the Russian?

After playing this game on my friends computer. Mind = Blown. I love Dwarf Fortress and games like that. Even if I didn't get that much time I really enjoyed it. I really see the potential in this game and that it might become a great game with a little polish and add a few stuff

How's this for epic, to get it to work on Linux 64 with Java 7 you need to download the latest version of lwjgl and copy lwjgl/jar/lwjgl.jar and lwjgl_util.jar to towns/lib/ (replacing the ones that are there) and copy the entire contents of lwjgl/native/linux to towns/lib/native (replacing all six files). Keep a backup copy of the fixed files under a different name in the folder (say, lwjgl.jar.fix) so that you can quickly copy them after updates.

no epic comment.. just a big fat thank you! this is what i wished for when playing dwarf fortress, im an old school gamer, but it's never a bad thing to have a little bit of visual eyecandy, accessibility, an easy to use GUI etc (on top of that, as much as i love DF, i suck horrible at it ^^)... this game could (im pretty sure it will) grow into something awesome..
so thank you for your work so far, im looking forward to spend many, many hours with your game!

No really.
Go look it up. Its true.

We need miniature T-Rex'es with wings to populate our cities like pigeons!

Only then would our city statues look 100% more awesome as they nest.

I would demolish my house since it lacks the proper zone structure for bedrooms and kitchens and a total lack of a proper workbench, but that would clutter my stockpiles (Mom says I just throw stuff on the floor but we know its all very well planed, right?)

The thing is, to make a proper home, dungeon crawl and get rich I need to be prepared! What better way to do so than getting a copy of this simulator? I heard around that this is the most accurate one for such a daunting task. If a dog named after a dwarfish conqueror believes such gift can help my cause then please do deliver.

Urist McTowns learned a lot from his Dwarven-in-law brothers and ventured forth into new lands with interactive UIs and fabulous isometric views! He can't wait to spread the word far and wide, showering adoring followers with some free Fun! He'd give The Creator of his new lands a hug, but he's too busy digging holes to see what treasures (or peril) await.
