Also we’re currently getting the latest patch tested by our testers, and we have a few more small tweaks to put into the patch then we can release it to everyone.
We want to mention that we have changed the way research and research points work a bit from this coming Patch onwards. This is a pretty big change that took a while to re-code, and was effected by many interlinked systems in the game.

Any idea when the "customize controls" patch is coming?

Site and forums are up now :), working on it to prevent future similar issues.
About customizing controls, it is definitely planned. We need to create a whole new menu and will change some hardcoded stuff in the game. After this coming update (that will stabilize the game balancing and leveling up) we will go into this.
