Neotokyo is a Half Life 2 mod that provides fast paced shooter in a rich futuristic setting. This mod released earlier in 2009 so the player base has gotten smaller. I've found some people who do play this mod are quite good which can turn off newbies. So please join in and have fun with gamers of all skill levels as we jump around and shoot each other in NeoTokyo. There are plenty of dedicated servers so we can hop in an empty one if necessary, just post the IPs here!

The Hidden Source is a Half Life 2 mod that has a swat team of I.R.I.S members hunting for a semi invisible beast that has pouncing and wall hanging abilities. It can lead to some very tense moments and the mod is a classic favorite for me personally. I recently noticed that it still has players online but there can always be more! There are plenty of dedicated servers so join in and get ready. Feel free to post any IPs here!

This day's event will be kept secret for now since I am not sure if the new update will be released by Sunday. Either way I will update this post with new details so check back to see what mod we'll be playing. Hope to see everyone online this week, if even for just a couple games!

I've been trying to pick a mix of mods that will have something new for everyone.
The Hidden simply blew me away when I first played it couple years ago and then it got buried under tons of other mods and games. Glad to see I'm exposing some great mods to new gamers :)
I'll be returning to many of these great mods, especially as the group gets bigger.

Hmm I didn't realize that I'm not really supposed to edit these news posts so I can't really add in the 3rd item for Sunday's gaming event. So I will enter the details in this comment, in hopes that everyone will see it :)
It looks like the 'secret' mod (orion) hasn't released their update yet so I am going to use that mod for an event next week or maybe the week after that.
For this Sunday, I will be using a new mod that I just found out about and just released its new Beta 5. Exterminatus is a Half Life 2 mod that is set in the Warhammer 40k universe and pits Imperial Space Marines against the Tyranid swarm, competing in a series of mission objectives.

It seems like there aren't many servers up so I will try to host one. If anyone else has hosting capabilities, Please help host a server for everyone to enjoy :)

Yeah when I tried editing the original post, it gave me a warning that it is not suggested and that I would have to contact moddb. That is the reason I added the information as a comment :)
I am still learning and getting the timing down on moddb postings but hopefully in time I will learn to perfect this process and will get a good consistent schedule going.

It seems that the Hidden Source has many new maps that have to be downloaded. I found a forum where they have packs you can download or just single maps:
