Friday update #10 news

Welcome to Friday update #10!

Ever see the screenshots and think, "What is that round thing with colorful bars mean? It's so confusing!" Well for this week we will reveal to you the hud, what each section means, as well as explaining the Stamina-Chakra system we've developed for NNK. But the fun doesn't stop there. Stay tuned for an interview with our head programmer Ryokeen!

1 - A place where a 3D render of the player's head will be placed.

2 - The special system with four kanji, with each kanji representing another level. A more detailed explanation for the special system will be revealed in the upcoming updates.

3 - The Health bar.

4 - The Stamina bar. Stamina is needed to perform taijutsu or melee, the dashing system (will be explained later), as well as converting it into Chakra.

5 - The Chakra bar. Chakra is needed to perform ninjutsu and genjutsu techniques, as well as other feats such as walking on water or on walls.

6 - This circle will indicate how much weapon count is left for the selected weapon.

7 - The selected weapon. During some jutsus that will need temporary control, the icon will change into that jutsu until player has no more control of it.

8 - Space for mini-icons for jutsus that are still in use or are having a cooldown time.

Ok, so tell us about yourself?
Hey there. I'm Moritz Ulte and I'm 20 years old. I'm still in school (again), I live in Germany, I like shooting games, and I want a Ps3! ^^

How long have you been following Naruto and do you only read the manga, watch the anime or both?
Well somehow two years ago I found a site with the Naruto manga. I had nothing to do so I read them. I never really watched the Anime; maybe because I already knew the story.

Are there any other animes you watch or mangas you read?
I've been watching quite a few. My favorite ones are NGE, Trigun and Hellsing. I also watched DB and DBZ, and I love hentai ^^. I've watched Full Metal Panic and some other ones I can't remember.

So how did you get into modding anyways?
I first stared modding when a friend of mine and I wanted to create a Stargate Mod for HL1. I started as a Mapper there, but soon i got interested in modifying the weapons and such, so I learned programming. Then later I lost the interest to continue a two-man project. What happened later was some guy asked me to code for his Dragonball mod named Final Power. Definitely this mod was an failure. Both FP and the Stargate mod weren't anywhere near a release.

And how did you end up at NNK and what exactly do you do on the team?
I had Kong's icq but never really talked to him. One day he said hi and asked me to code for his new Naruto mod called NNK. I had nothing to do and so I became their main Coder.

Are there any other projects you worked on in the past or that you are currently working on you would like to mention?
Not at the moment; NNK is my only project. Final Power and the Stargate mod are to only ones to mention.

Any last words you want to add to this before we bring this to an end?
Yeah, I'm really happy that kong asked me to join. It's the first time for me to work with such awesome professionals and teammates!
