Q: What is the story?

A: Opposing Force 2 takes place in the Seven Hours War aftermath (meaning that you do not face the war itself). The game focuses on erasing a portal rift from Earth. Back in the timeline of Opposing Force, a VTOL was captured by the xenians for examination, that helicopter was kept in a xenian vault, and as the years passed, it overloaded itself with xenian rocks and material. Due to such a massive amount of xenian crystals, the helicopter ended up with enough energy to make a portal rift on its own, and teleported to Earth, causing a huge explosion of energy and consequently, a portal rift, that gave the xenians a ticket to Earth. Shephard gets awaken by the G-Man, teleported to Earth, and given the objective of closing the portal rift. There is a Phoenix Army, a huge anti-combine group of trained marines who have made it through the Seven Hours War, and Shephard will be fighting on their side. But while the Phoenix Army wants to destroy the crystal and close the rift, the Combine wants to steal the crystal to maximize their portal technology.

Q: Will it include original OpFor weapons and enemies?

A: OpFor 2 includes a variety of weapons and enemies from its official sequel, but many of them have been removed because they just didn't fit in the storyline.

Q: What's new on Multiplayer?

A: Bullet penetration on guns that fire bullets, buffed up weapon damage to make it a lot more fast paced, kill assists in team games and exclusive weapons that are not featured in SP... Down the line we want SP and MP to run alongside each other seemlessly in the same mod. Also with this we can add a cooperative mode where you can run through the SP part of OpFor2 with a friend.

Q: What gamemodes are there on Multiplayer?

A: We have Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture The Flag and Protect The Flag, which is a one way version of Capture the Flag where one team has to defend the flag and the other one has to steal it and take it back to their base.

Q: Are there classes in the MP?

A: Yes. Though they're only in flag-based gamemodes. The CTF is separated by two teams; the Combine and the Phoenix. Each team is composed of three classes that are pretty similar to the opposite team's classes. As the players complete tasks like killing 20 players from the opposite team or capturing the flag a certain number of times, they earn new abilities and weapons.

Q: What are the classes in MP? What are they for? What are they weak against?

A: The Sniper is certainly the best class for long-range encounters, as he doesn't need to take place where the action is happening to pop a few heads. Sadly, the Sniper is the worst class for close encounters because of his low amount of armor and unnapropriate set of weapons for the occasion, being an easy target for Assaults or Heavy Weapons if caught in close combat.

The Assault is the "middle class" of the game. He's the fastest class in the game, and unlike other classes, he carries a shotgun and tripmines, being perfect for close or mid-range encounters. Though, the Assault class is an easy target for the Heavy Weapons or even Snipers because of his low amount of health points.

The Heavy Weapons is the third and strongest class of this gamemode. The Heavy Weapons has the highest number of health points between all classes, and carries the most deadly weapons on the game. Unfortunately, he's the slowest class, and has the lowest number of armor points too, being an easy target in open areas.

Q: How do I get the unlockable weapons?

A: You buy them during a match with awarded XP. By killing other players, you'll earn XP. You'll be awarded more XP based on the person you kill, so if you kill someone with high XP you get more than killing someone on lower XP. With your XP, you unlock attributes and weapons so you can use them during the match. The unlockable weapons don't replace guns on your loadout, you can select which gun you'll use, same goes with attributes, you can choose whether you'll use them or not. The unlockables are temporary, meaning that your loadout resets every time a new match begins or when you join another server.

I'm liking the sound of the multi-player. The weapon unlock system sounds particularly good.

Awesome, good multiplayer for a mod always makes it live on. (For a bit longer, at least.)

I'm honestly confused to hell by the storyline you have up there, but since it looks like you guys are so far in production, I won't bring up anything.

Multiplayer sounds alright, but you say "Unfortunately, he's the slowest class, and has the lowest number of armor points too" for the Heavy? Doesn't the heavy usually have the highest number of armor points? Is this a typo?

It's not a typo. If he had anything higher than the actual AP he would be ridiculously overpowered.

In many other games, the Heavy Weapons class is usually a good class for begginners because of his simpleness and overpowered stats. Instead of making something so redundant and annoying, we want each class to have its own strategy other than W + MOUSE1. OUR Heavy isn't a simple class to play with, and if you don't know what to do with it you're screwed.

One of his (optional) attributes is a boost of AP that decreases HP, if that makes your happier. But we'll keep it as it is right now.
