Q1: Do expansions count? If so, I think it's a tough choice for me between The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth, and Undertale. Both of which just feel like such full-feature gaming experiences to me. Everything that these two titles set out to do, they accomplish and exceed in. I've already spent 100s of hours between the two and they've only been out for a few months!

Q2: I think again it's a tie between the not-yet released Amnesia: A Fear In Hands (https://www.moddb.com/mods/amnesia-fear-in-hands), Penumbra: Necrologue (https://www.moddb.com/mods/penumbra-necrologue/images), Penumbra: Twilight Of The Archaic (https://www.moddb.com/mods/penumbra-twilight-of-the-archaic), and StarCraft: Burning Ground (https://www.moddb.com/mods/burningground). I think most of these can be pretty self-explanatory, except the StarCraft mod. Burning Ground is just an insanely fun total-conversion for Brood War, and really revitalizes the game in a lot of ways. A lot of custom mechanics were made for it, and three new factions were designed and fully fleshed out.

Edit: Right, I forgot links don't convert to the simple text in comments anymore... (Wtf, Moddb)

Q1:
Dragon Ball Xenoverse. It has its flaws but it is a step into a rebirth of the franchise, moreover it gives us one of very few PC games. DBXV has a good modding community as well and an (somewhat) original story.

Q2:
Rise of the Mandalorians. It is a mod for one of the best classic Star Wars games to date; Empire at War. It adds a completely new faction which play an important part in both Star Wars Canon and Star Wars Legends.

Q1: fallout 4. One of the only games that lived up to the hype
Q2: rise of the reds. Just the amount of added content alone is immense. Add to that the new gameplay changes and factors, and it makes generals a totally different game.

1) black mesa (steam release), because the multiplayer was worth the 2 year wait, its half life multiplayer with better graphics, better balance and the best pistol in the universe, the automatic glock 17.
2) GMDX, because its what revision wasn't, an improvement in every way to deus ex, new mechanics, better graphics, easy to install and bugfix galore.

Questions 01: it would have to be fallout 4. i'm a sucker for rpg elements like in s.t.a.l.k.e.r & high end graphics.

Questions 02: this is gonna take a minute, because i played an assload of mods here.

first one is empire 3: Moddb.com. i like mount & blade, but this expands it to the point of awesome, because not only it expands the map & adds more diverse factions, it also adds pbod which is nice in itself.

second is star wars warlords: Moddb.com. it combines the many ships of star wars & the frantic pace of homeworld 2. it's underdeveloped as ****, but hey, i love it.

third is project brutality. it takes brutal doom to the next level with ceiling climbing demons, jetpack skeletons, flamethrowing barons & diverse weapons.

fourth is eternal confrontation. i like soulstorm & i like it's high res mod. put those together & add more units & the tyranid mod, it's a mod not even ultimate apoc can beat imho.

fifth & last is ballistic weapons mod for ut2k4:it combines the tournament play & adds more cooler weapons, physics, blood & strategy.

1. Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, game is kicking my *** in my favorite game series, the Souls series.

2. Arsenal Overhaul for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat, the weapons are just fantastic, everything is fantastic about the mod, gunplay is great, sounds are nice, everything. Except for crashes that is :/

1. Hard to say, there was many good games... I think I spend lot of time with Solarix, A Pixel Story, but for me the best was The Curse of Issyos by Locomalito games (my gameplay here Youtube.com). Also second place - but other level - is SOMA.

2. Penumbra: Necrologue.

1: Metal Gear Solid V, this game got me into the MGS franchise.
2: Gekokujo, a feudal japan mod for Mount and Blade Warband.
This mod is the best project for recreating the Sengoku Jidai era of Japan in mount and blade. The sword play and bow shooting are really well done.

1. World of Warships: A free fully online multiplayer clash of fire and steel! Put it on ultra quality and your PC would cry :D
Lots of ships including battleships, cruisers, destroyers, and carriers all with unique features, playstyle, and details.

2. Edain for sure XD
It basically took an old rusty made-by-EA game, and transformed it to something worthy of Tolkien legacy.
Big attention to details, balancing gameplay, tons of new and innovative features and mechanics that have never been seen in such an old game!
What's more is that Edain never seem to be overwhelmed with the huge community. The mod always interact with the community for feedback and ideas (even contributions), and still don't go add-everything-mode.

Q1: KF2. Been waiting for it for a while. It's been evolving this entire year and it's really turning into a nice piece of work.

Q2: I would say fir this year: silent hill Alchemilla. Damn it's really nicely made and the atmosphere inside, dayum ! Feels good to see that source still have things to offer after all that time.
