The long awaited FHSW 0.5 has been released!
It’s a pure multiplayer mod so your only chance to properly play it is to join one of the servers at the given times, links at the bottom.
A quick summary of all the offical news since the release of version 0.42:

A quick guide on how to install it correctly, but you can obviously skip some steps if you already have them installed:
1) Install Battlefield 1942 with the latest patch 1.61b
Patch 1.6: Gamefront.com (268 MB)
Patch 1.6 to 1.61b: Gamefront.com (6 MB)
2) Download and install Part 1 to 3 of Forgotten Hope 0.7
Part 1: Gamefront.com (689 MB)
Part 2: Gamefront.com (686 MB)
Part 3: Gamefront.com (694 MB)
3) Download and install FH Fan-Mappack 6
Gamefront.com (506 MB)
4) Download and install Part 1 and 2 of Forgotten Hope Secret Weapon 0.5
You must delete your old installation of FHSW first by simply deleting the folders "FHSW" and "STFHSW" from ..\EA Games\Battlefield 1942\Mods\

There is a Windows 7 and widescreen fix included in this installer, make sure you run FHSW with admin rights and without any compatibility mode on. Apply Win98/Me compatibility mode on the FHSW desktop icon if it crashes too often, the downsides are longer loading times, lower resolution and Punkbuster problems.
As you might or might not know FHSW is a pure multiplayer mod, so you won’t find any of the new things in singleplayer. There are two servers for you to choose from, you have to join at specific times to find players on them though:
Europe/NA
Join at European evening/night time on weekends
Site: Fhsw-europ.ucoz.de
Asia/NA
Join at Japanese evening/night time
WIN XP can't play 0.5,But play 0.42 is Normal，Why?I had deleted my old installation of FHSW0.42.
Which map and more importantly which mode? SP/Coop crashes.
SP mode every map When loading the half will suddenly shut down automatically game，With "error" prompt tone（Windows）。
SP/coop mode doesn't work anymore (=crashes).
It means that,Originally V0.5's SP mode was con't run?Need someone else would have to make one?

Wait a minute, 72 players limit on the japanese server? So after BF2 someone got rid of the limit in BF42 also? Neat.

Yep, up to 128 is possible now and unlike BF2 the guy made the code public.

So anyways i joined the server and got kicked for high ping / pretty self centered in how only the Japanese can play the Japanese server i think theres a good reason for why this mod is turning away more and more players each day, wish somebody could tell them to increase the ping limit to 500 or 400
Heres the deal if enough americans / people of the world get hyped up by a notion that their might be an american server say 'I' if i get enough supporters i will host a 72 slot server possible a 123. thats all PM me for details.

I assume you're talking about the Japanese server? The European server is open for everyone if you play by the rules. We had over 30 players yesterday!
