A short update about Navmesh, new environments and the logo

Update #1



Hey guys, I wanted to show you some of the new content that I was working on the past couple days. I got some new scenes and environments which will be shown later in this post, but the most important aspect of the development at the moment is to handle some AI issues. The Far Cry 3 editor does not allow to use waypoints or any other AI related features that would for example allow me to define paths for patrols. The only thing the editor does is showing you the navmesh. By this, you can block out certain paths with invisible walls which allow me to shape some kind of areas in which the AI can move. This way I can create camps for enemy AI and forbid them to move out of said camp and only use the terrain inside the area borders.

I refined the navmesh of the scrapyard area so the undead are able to chase you on multiple layers of the junk, you need to run and jump much faster and more precisely to leave them behind you!

Next up I got some new scenes and enviroments to show:

One of those AI bases mentioned earlierer, they will not leave their camp in order to protect their supplies.

Last but not least here is the logo of the mod I made in Photoshop. Make sure to check out the teaser trailer!

Drown, it looks bloody beautiful. I only have one nitpick and that's the logo. The main text: "FARCRY3" looks a little dark and hidden (unless that was the intention) but it would be nice if it was slightly brighter and look as if it was emerging from the smoke. Keep it up!
