B: No, the mod is a standalone game, you need only steam account.

B: No, we will use the resources of other games, as well as another brand of the game, which contradicts the license of Steam.

B: Sorry but in first person. The mod was initially developed like a first person quest and now all the quests and level design are designed for first-person view.
A: Will Pyramid Head be in the mod?
B: No, it is contrary to the original story.

I love you guys. I've given up on Konami for what they have done to Silent Hill as a whole, but you guys...you guys make it look like it should, sound like it should, and I know, by the stuff you've shown me and this modding community, that this mod is going to be awesome.

Wasn't the last Silent Hill game what Konami made, Silent Hill 3 and after that other studios have made their ****** Silent Hill games to date.
Yep. Except I've found Silent Hill: Homecoming really good (not as good as the first 3 though) and so far Silent Hill Downpour isn't too bad (but I'm only like 20 minutes in :P)
There's Shattered Memories as well. That one was great. Homecoming and Downpour are good imo, but not great, sadly.
I know that Silent Hill: Homecoming is the 6th game, and SH: Downpour is the 8th(?). The only Silent hill games I've played are 1-3 and Homecoming
Shattered Memories was amazing. Devs thrown away Japanese influence and put effort in that psychological aspect of Silent Hill.
So just like Silent Hill 2 the game was building psychological image of the player, but with a lot more emphasis on that. Not only influencing endings but influencing the whole game. Maybe it wasn't canon, but it was damn awesome experience. In the end I was scared... of myself. When I realized that it wasn't character in game, but actually me. My deeds, what I have done.
The original team made Silent Hill 1-4. They disbanded after that and the newer games were made by whoever was playing catch with the idiot ball at the time.
Team Silent I believe were the same developers who made Silent Hill 1-4. After that, new studios stepped in after Team Silent disbanded or stopped making Silent Hill games. Personally I don't think the later games were that bad (speaking for just Homecoming and Origins), I just imagine them as 'tests' on new ideas. I don't like though, for instance, how they used old concepts like Pyramid Head in SH: Homecoming.

Сложно сказать. В моде мы попытались взять лучшее из всех частей. Например в SH3 очень брутальная альтернативка, и, делая свою, мы опирались на дизайн SH3. В SH2 очень здорово сделана нормальная (туманная реальность), с той долей меланхолии, которая нужна для подобной тематики. Могу сказать только то, что мы не черпали вдохновение только с SH4. Про остальные игры с приставкой SH думаю все понятно.
Это да, SH4 попросту не впишется в то что есть.
