The Fall of Saigon team has been working hard behind the scenes to bring the Vietnam War to the Source engine. Our coder has been working tirelessly on the first initial team alpha. Most of the important working parts are done and being tested. With some tweaks and some additions our code will be suitable for an internal alpha build. Our level design team has been steadily growing and producting product and a great rate. We have been working on creating props for the mappers to use, along with a wide array of textures to make the Vietnam jungles and cities come to life. Our sound team has also done an amazing job completing most of the weapon and footstep sounds that we will need. We have for you today some never before scene screenshots of some of the props and maps being done by two of our level designers, AwesomePossum and Piedoom.
We are also looking for help to get the initial team alpha done. We are in desperate need of weapon and player modelers. If you would be interested in helping bring the Vietnam War to Source please let us know.

Yeah we started this mod because Mantis and I were both huge Tour of Duty fans and he worked on the mod at its very end. I also played the BF2 mod "Eve of Destruction" when it came out, it was awesome but sometimes laggy. Before mappers and mod team could adjust things everyone bailed. Didnt help that Dice doesnt give mods anyway to rank up etc so most just stuck to Vanilla BF2. I should buy Vietcong it did look good. I hope some of our maps have that dark feel to them.
