Eastern Front Fans,
The 1.50 patch is now released. Includes criticals for some soviet units, new music for soviets and many bug fixes reported by the community or found by us.
We wanted to release this the last month, but considered than would be a rushed release prefered to delay it a little longer, we hope you enjoy the results of our work.
Another feature included is, a new mode was implemented for the Blitzkrieg/Red Tide Challenge called "Fortress Mode" similar to the previous modes, but completely focused on defense. Facing waves of enemies, each one stronger than the previous one.
There are new maps for this update as well, we proudly announce the inclusion of three new maps:
- Lemberg (4) by MaxiKing6
- Karachev (2) by Sylver
- Kalach (6) by cephalos/MaxiKing6
- Stalingrad Railroad Station (4) by BurroDiablo
Another surprise is that Cranialwizard and WartyX made a guide for EF units (don't worry, link will be posted soon).
Also, Eastern Front now will have support for Simplified Chinese texts, so the player can choose if he want to use Traditional or Simplified Chinese translations (only appliable for EF texts - link pending at this moment).
At last but not least, we would like to invite you to join to our 2vs2 Tournament, you can find more information on this topic: EF 2v2 Tournament 2, there will be some prizes for the winner(TBD).

Cool. But in USSR we got only Americans jeeps when war started.
We have Gaz.
Those Jeeps are for the Royal Marines, not the Soviets.

Emmm that's not strictly true, it seems to have seen limited use against the Japanese in Manchuria. Although yeah, its use in Europe is a little bit of creative licence (then again so is the Bergetiger).
And V1's weren't dropped in battle. CoH isn't a history lesson.
Uhm excuse me for asking but: How in the world am I to install the mod with the Steam version of the game? I installed the game properly, it asks me to find the game's installation folder, which I assume is in the Steam-folder, Steammaps/Common/companyofheroes Or? Because when I select that folder, it stops telling me that it cannot find the game, however, when I click "Play", nothing happens.
It should find the installation route. I used it with Steam myself and it works fine. I even played a few multiplayer matches.
After installing the mod to the folder you listed, in the EF launcher go to settings. In settings you'll see COH directory and it'll be blank. Hit select and direct it to the folder you installed it to.
I spent quite a long time figuring this one out. Hope that helps.

Thats what I said I did in the first place. It wont run.
Sidenote: If the folder is ANY other folder than the one I first listed, when I click play, it will ONLY tell me "Error: Eastern Front Mod is up to date." with the button "Ok". After that, nothing.
I can't seem to re-crew the Pak-38 after the original german crew is killed. I know you've solved the re-crew glitch, but could this only happen with Steam users?
Conscripts and Command Squads can't recrew.
I tend to play Blitzkrieg mod cause its more polished IMHO, but I got to say that EF v1.5 is way better than previous verisons, Good Job!

Stupid question, but I already have Blitzkrieg mod installed, but would there be any conflicts between the files if I tried to install EF? Im not too knowledgeable when it comes to modding.

Can someone help me? It seems like I have EF version 3.1.0.0 made by Will Waywell (Hawk)And the website is, www.the-golden-squadron.co.uk
And when I search for updates I find the 1.5. I can install it, but when I've installed it, the EF is just like it was before. Nothing happends..
Does anyone have a clue how to just patch my EF?
3.1.0.0 is the launcher version.
There was a hotfix released shortly after 1.5, just check for updates again.
Still no one that has any idea...?
