The long promised gameplay trailer is ready! Now you can see in motion what we have been showing on screenshots for some time. It features all three maps that we are currently working on, two cars, new pickups and of course lots of multiplayer action.

The one thing I noticed was that the gibs don't carry the momentum over so car's explode staticly in mid-air instead of their gibs flying forward from the explosion (like what happens in Quake if you get gibbed in mid-air). Have you looked into getting that changed to make the explosions more realistic? It seems the mindless rampaging and cincematic explosions are part of the appeal for this mod, so it makes sense to get those bits as polished as possible before adding extras.
This is one of our newest changes which is not in the trailer.

I normally don`t like hl2 mods but this looks incredible cant wait to play this.

If the public version is as promising as the video I'll give you the map I promised two years ago. Hope this time the mod gets finished, looks like it has potential if plays well online.

Quake Rally (mod for Quake) and Death Rally (game made by 3DRealms) are similar and pre-dating concepts.
