just did the install process.

Its a little complicated for me, but i did everything the (very short) readme stated.

I switch to OpenGL
It either uses normal looking textures
or i cant tell the different

One things for sure. the textures go crazy if i use a resolution other than 800xwhatever

Make sure you set the INI right, that's most likely what the problem is.

see i did, but i may have confused it with a couple of other notepad files named DeusEx. but none of the other ones have [OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice] in it :D

This is one badly needed mod for one of the greatest titles of all time.

I consider its importance right up there with the retexturing job that was done for System Shock 2: Shock Texture Upgrade Project. When SS2 is paired up with SS2 Rebirth, wowza!

Is there any knowledge in regards to an upgrade towards Deus Ex's models? There was something in the works, but it's been a VERY long time since I've seen any news regarding it.

Keep up the great work, and before I forget, does this mod require the DX9 Render System?

Yours!

so, you copy the utx textures to textures folder
you copy OpenGLDrv.dll into your DeusEx/System directory
you change the ini so that it includes UseS3TC=True
and make sure you run the game in OpenGL obviously.

am i missing anything?

Nope, that should get them working. Aside from maybe putting that line in the wrong place of the INI, I don't see what the problem could be.

HDTP is still in progress, I've contributed some model textures to them in the past. They are gearing up for a release as we speak, there's just some odd models left to do before they can package it as complete.

And no, this runs on an updated OpenGL renderer. But it is compatible with the updated Direct3D renderer, and ENB Series (DirectX 9).
