Introduction
Welcome to an offical update for the Death Grounds Total Conversion Mod. Today, we have screenshots of a new WIP level, a new weapon, and a small review of what has happened since the mod first started development in mid-2008.

2008 Progress
Over the past 6 months, the Death Grounds mod has seen many changes. Progress has been made, and the mod is still being worked fiercely upon. Not many of the original team members from 2008 are still active in the team however, but those who are, are working hard on it. Below is some of the progress shown in 2008, in the form of weapon models created by rizla1.

Then this mod fell silent in late-2008 and was presumed 'dead' by many people until it was announced that it was back and revamped for 2009. Since then, two more members have joined the team. And now onto our latest progress update.

Zombie Street
Talented level designer, NL-banneboy-NL, has been working on a new level for the mod, which is showcased below.

New Weapon - M4A1
Experienced modeller rizla1 is still actively working on the mod, and has created a new weapon, the M4A1 assault rifle, which we have to show you today.

Nice! And I have to say, banneboy's mapping skills are getting better and better every day! (I say that based on what I've seen on Crymod)

That M-4 model is very well made, but not very accurate.

First off, none of those optics are any good. The red dot sight is for BB guns, I've never seen the top one, and I wouldn't put a scope like that on a M4 either. The magazine seems to be a high capacity mag for a airsoft gun, as it has the hole in the side for the winding key. The upper and lower receivers should be flush with each other, and one should not overlap the other.

The M203 tube is WAY too short, and the front latch is just... wrong. The flash suppressor at the end of the barrel should only have slits on the top, not at the bottom, and if you're going for modern day Army, you should use the quad rail on the left side, the lower one.

Your modeling skills are unquestionable, you just need much better references.
