Commanders of War II 2.1 will be released during the winter of 2010. Make sure to post your suggestions regarding new units, maps, balancing and/or fixes before then! Most of all, suggestions for new American and British squads would be appreciated. And please note that I would appreciate if suggestions are backed up by arguments based on realism; I will listen to each suggestion, but I will only implement something if it was historically plausible and doesn't cause too much imbalance.

The following is planned to be fixed/changed/implemented in 2.1, so no one needs to suggest any of the following:
-Trucks with artillery ammo only (105mm, 150mm, 152mm, etc.).
-Fuel trucks.
-Pz.Kpfw. 38(t) for the early war (1941-1942).
-Messed up graphics of the Pz.Kpfw. IVG in 1942.
-PaK38 and PaK43 being able to turn 360 degrees (bug).
-Removed limit on T-26 and BT-7 Mod. 1937 in 1941.
-SU-85 for 1943.
-Two more crewmen for the American T30 75mm HMC, so it operates properly without the player having to manually crew it.
-57mm AT-Gun for the Americans.
-A few fixes on the map Railwar by VIN.
-A few changes on the map Seek and Destroy by Ngvede, to improve pathfinding.

The addition of airborne troops for all armies would be a nice as well as desert/snow skins for all units. Also are the sound issues (such as the Stug firing) being addressed as well?

Currently Germany is quite packed with different squads, so I'd like to add more for the other nations before adding any more to the Germans. But airborne troops are planned at least for the U.S.. I'm not sure to what extent the British used airborne troops --if they even did-- so I would have to read up on that. All in all, the British only had 34-39 divisions throughout the war, so it shouldn't be that hard looking up.

Also, I have not noticed anything weird with the StuG's fire sound. Could you be a bit more specific? I have used it alot, but not really noticed anything out of place with its firing sound that I can think of.

This is purely something that would be nice to see, is it possible to make the Recon infantry have a mixture of rifles and SMGs? I hope the Recon guys also get binoculars, sort of kills their purpose at times for me. I usually just only buy them when I need cheap units that can hold their own in towns.

I believe I will give the American recon squads primarily semi-automatic rifles in the next version. But other than that, they will more or less stay the way they currently are. However, I have been considering giving them a line of sight that's somewhat better than that of the normal infantrymen. Also, they are not meant to have binoculars, since that would make the officer more or less useless (and to a lesser extent because the soldier with the binocular would start holding that instead of his weapon all of the damn time).

All in all, the thought behind the recon teams is to have a semi-useful, fast and small group of men that are adequate for scouting, but also for running to capture flags and key positions early on in the game (they are a bit faster than normal infantry).

Kommando all nations used Paras during WWII. German and U.S. Paras are well documented of course, but yes the British used them as well. British paratroopers were used in all theatres including North Africa, Italy, and France/Germany. Famous actions for British Paras included: Operation Husky in Sicily, Operation Slapstick in South Italy, Operation Overlord, Operation Market-Garden, and Operation Varsity in Germany. If you need more info or background for any WWII unit I can help. As for the Stug III, the main gun makes no noise on only certain models when fired. Also I noticed that the Jagdpanther's MG is non operational at this point. Might load up a game and test fire the tanks and see if you can pinpoint the issue.

@Vaman
Thanks for your answer!

If you are willing to help, that would be greatly appreciated. Among the things I'd like to know about paratroopers would be a general idea of how well-trained they were when compared to infantrymen in the regular army (I can imagine that there were higher demands on physical fitness, then as now), and what armament they used; for instance, if they used some weapons to a higher extent than the regular army, such as the use of the FG-42 among the German paratroopers (that AFAIK wasn't used by the standard infantry at all).

By the way, you can add me on Xfire or Steam friends, if you happen to have either of them.

My Xfire: actionhank88
My Steam: barbarossa@mail.nu

And I will make sure to look into the StuG IIIG & Jagdpanther.

Would it be possible to make some adjustments to the frontline mode? Currently light armor and support vehicles cost no money at all and it's not possible to choose a time period or unit cap or the amount of income, being able to affect these would be sweet.

I haven't prioritized the Frontline mode since Combat & Battle Zones are the most played, and to be honest I will most likely not have time to make any big changes for it for the next version.

But anything you can point out regarding it is of great help! I will at least make sure to fix this gamebreaking bug with units being free now that you mentioned it.

Theking,
Do you have any thoughts on how good and bad suspension could be portrayed in the game?

Would it be possible to somehow add a % chance to every point of fuel consumed that the engine breaks down?

I have talked to a mapmaker ~1 month ago, and yes, it is possible, but only through scripting maps as far as he knew. I can imagine that it would be possible in multiplayer too then, but only on tanks already deployed on the map itself.

Will you include the Japanese in your next release ?

Nope. The Japanese will not be included I'm afraid, and I have mentioned this several times already if I'm not mistaken. Summarized explanation: They can't be implemented in a realistic manner and at the same time be enjoyable to play.

I was playing with the germans and had my Nebelwerfer almost out of ammo...
I called the ammo truck but ... then i found out the ammo truck doesn´t have ammo for the Nebelwerfer .
Could you put ammo for it in the truck ... 300 mm rockets
