Hello CoH: Modern Combat fans.
It is time for tanks in action. Today we present you the CoH: Modern Combat - ingame trailer 3, featuring an intense tank battle between some of the most powerful units in the mod. Is it going to be the battle proven M1A2 Abrams that is going to win, will it be the fancy new ZTZ99 or does the 51-year old Type 59D still pack a good punch compared to todays modern battle tanks? This trailer is not representing our current balance, but it's just a showcase of those units.
The husks could use some work.
Yeah the husks do look a little like they've been coated in plastic, but the live models and textures look amazing.
a 2 vs 6? I know China has a lot of tanks but China only has 200+ ZTZ-99s and about 5,500 - 6,000 and the United States has 1,174 M1A2s and 4,393 M1A1s...

but if we put the game realistic , then who can be the counterpart to USA?
This is just a showcase of our ingame models and not a representation of real life
that and the US tanks have twice the range of chinese and soviet tanks they shoot one mile we shoot 2 and with great accuracy i might add but i got to give it to the chinese theyll probably use the old tanks like metal meat shields in order to allow their new tanks to get in range but we have our airforce so we still win but since it is just a game it is all up to the player and balance of the game itself as to how the tanks actually perform but anyways military rant aside GOOD GOING!!!
You should honestly consider Great Britain, they have one of the most well trained armed forces in the world. Tanks such as the Challenger 2, Chinook transports, Harriers, etc...
uh... we have chinooks too... and harriers (british built but we still have them) and the tanks would be pretty evenily matched... but it would be alot of the same vechicals fighting each other because the us and britan use alot of the same vechicals due to us being ferice allies so a fight betwen britian and the us wouldnt be as diverse or fun as fighting other nations in a game
I think he meant he would like Great Britain as an allied faction to the United States, much like in Opposing Fronts.
I can understand where you're coming from, if it were Britain vs the US, but i did mean as an Allied nation of course. In terms of infantry units we're actually very different to the US. Our standard equipment is a lot different to the US and the training is quite different too.
Not sure what the mod teams plan is after they finish with America and China but if they plan to keep working on it then the UK could be added as a Western faction and Russia or Japan for the East?
If they do both Japan and Russia then they could also add France or Germany, try and cover many different armies.
That or maybe they could add things like the Challenger 2 or Leopard 2 as optional replacements for the Abrams?
We've said this many times. There will be no additional factions to China and USA in our mod. I honestly understand that a lot of you would have seen your own country to be represented here. We get a lot of requests for UK, Russia, Bundeswehr, etc. but you have to understand that the amount of work that goes into a faction is enormous and that we will not be able to make everyone happy anyway....
Thus, we have decided to concentrate on the deveopment of additional features. We plan to add more maps, eventually scripted maps, work on the AI, create an external ladder, hold torneys, etc. Something for everyone, be it the casual or the competitive gamer.
But we still have to release the mod!

We are a group of different mod teams, who have teamed up to share servers, forums, help out each other and have a stronger voice...
The dev team of Project Reality is also part of BSS, but this mod is developed by a different team.

Very impressive guys. It would be good to see some infantry as well :).I agree with other about the husks. They may need some more work to bring em in line with the quality of other models.
