Hello everyone. For this update, we will be focusing on two nearly finished features that will be appearing in Combine Destiny 2: night vision, and deployable, player-controlled manhacks.
The night vision, a feature part of the Overwatch Soldier's standard helmet, allows for visibility in poorly illuminated or completely dark areas. It has been completely rebuilt since the last time we showed it, now being powered by custom shaders.
The second feature is deployable manhacks. These manhacks follow you as you move, and help in attacking and distracting enemies.
We've also made two quick videos for you to see these new features for yourselves! Go ahead and take a look.
Awesome, Deployable Manhacks!
Keep it up!
Awesome work, Gettin better and better :D
very nice work on the night vision there keep it up guys!
Nice job, cool nightvision and manhacks.
Brilliant work Blade. Great update with the new cool features.
Awesome update!
Though the manhack viewmodel looks a bit odd; the arm should not be so far forward; it looks like it's attached to the side of your head.
This is one of the few mods for Source that I'm truly looking forward to playing. Excellent job and I hope it only gets better!
OMG! It is still alive!
Just like I told everyone dying is not their milestone.
Hell, you have my favorite singleplayer mod, I suppose this is gonna be better :O
Another update!? In the same year!? This is too good to be true!
Although the nightvision looks pretty good i think you should make it so that you aren't able to walk around with nightvision when there are lights present because that means you can use nightvision all the time, which doesn't make sense of implementing it in the first place. When you turned your nightvision ON it looked like the map went to fullbright mode which is not what should happen. The nightvision should only amplify the light coming through the "eyes" of the player(that is what happens in real life) and not actually get rid of shadows. Therefore if someone used nightvision where light is present he would only see white and nothing else because the density of would be such that intensifying such a density would result in pure whiteness.
So it doesn't really make sense not using nightvision if you don't get blinded when looking at lights when nightvision is turned ON(what would happen is that everyone would be walking with nightvision turned ON all the time).
The nightvision is bright enough. You definitely do not want to be walking around with it outside. :)
Can you help me PLS?
