All-new music, voice acting, choreography and added dialogue give way to a more expansive and immersive experience than ever before. In a nutshell, play Half-life the way we think it was meant to be played!

If you don't like it, don't play it. Why torture yourself since you don't have to play it?

You're dumb as hell and completely missed his point. He was talking about it looking better. Honestly, with my AA cranked all the way up and the texture quality on Very High, game looks bad ***. To be fair, after 8 years, I figured it'd be more visually appealing, but I'm not going to cry about it. The game is great. The mapping is extremely well done, the models look good, the voice acting is top notch, etc. Someone posts a comment contrary to your beliefs and you guys all go apeshit. Settle the **** down. People are entitled to other opinions.

And to all the FAKEFACTORY haters: Go **** yourselves. He may not be able to model very well, but he did a hell of a lot more than you've ever done with your lives. CM11 is ******* beautiful. Sorry your dial-up can't handle the download.

Have to agree claytonian, CM11 is really nice, but I would say Black Mesa is a lot better looking than most commercial games nowadays, all the complaining about colour is silly, in an underground research lab mostly made of concrete you can't expect it to have lush greens and vibrant blues everywhere.

Also the aggressive comments are totally over the top, I would have thought people playing this would be mostly those who played the original and with that in mind would have thought this page more civilized. I guess I was wrong there going by the amount of swearing and caps lock going on.

The fact that you actually thought a modern Duke Nukem game was ever a good idea amazes me.
I always thought they'd abandoned it. Then, when it was confirmed, I lost hope that they'd finally let a good series of games expire on a good note.

I just finished working my way back to the reception desk after the resonance cascade, and I must say, so far this game is Valve quality. A lot of work was put into making the facility more logical, while retaining the scenes we already know and love. The atmosphere is spot on, and new gameplay sections/styles have been integrated to mix up the familiar hallways. A big plus for me is the new voice acting, choreographed scenes, and small details that build a stronger connection between the story of Black Mesa and the stories present in Half Life 2 and the Half Life expansions. My one and only, nitpicky complaint is that it feels like I have to crouch jump to achieve what used to be a normal jump. Perhaps I'll write my first full review when I finish it.

And six years after saying "I want this, oh yes!" I got it. And was not disappointed, oh no.

And not even once in those six years I forgot to check for any kinds of updates for the project because, well, I really really wanted to play the game that defined the first great storyline for me, a game that brought brain into my brawn in a brand new coat of current gen. And now I can.

Thank you, BM Dev Team and Co.

PS: Can't wait for the final part!
