So, remember when we were asking for new members because our mod team consists of like three and a half people? Well, we've recently received a (relatively) large influx of people with experience who are willing to work with us, and as a result, we are expanding our plans for the mod with TWO ADDITIONAL FACTIONS! (Yes, 8 factions total.) The factions are not entirely finished yet, and will be produced with considerable input from our new designers.

The Order of the Talon is an ancient order of knights dedicated to fighting a never-ending evil. They are a faction composed of elite, powerful and expensive units, though they are a little on the slow side.
The Mediterranean Syndicate is an electronics mega-corporation built on sinister secrets. They are a highly technological, infantry-heavy faction that focuses on sharing bonuses and buffs between its units.

I kinda thought the same, I saw the word 'Talons' saw the logo and suddenly thought steel talons of GDI. Oh well none the less...
