About six months ago, we, the Shock Therapy development team, announced our official hiatus after an already long period of less activity.
Well, it's about time we get back to work!
Over the course of the next weeks, we'll start picking up more work regarding the mod. It'll take us a bit of time to get back up and running, so for the time being we're still under 'hiatus'.
Some of our plans are to add new Shock Therapy Original units, either completely new units to the Red Alert universe, or possibly distant cousins from previous Red Alert games.
The current new units that we've announced:
Gunlock multi purpose fighter for the Empire of the Rising Sun
Wolfhound Tank Destroyer for the Allies
Harrow close air support fighter/bomber for the Soviets

These are just three of the concepts we're working on, you can expect more to follow. We'll also work to creating 3D renders of our concepts.
- Furthermore, we want to work on the AI, so it uses all the new features correctly, and puts up a better fight.
- We also want to start fixing bugs and adding balance changes to the last version of the mod, wherever needed.

Though, as a quick fair criticism...isn't the Gunlock a bit dark paletted for the EOTRS? In a faction whose predominant color is white...
No, not at all. Thought I admit this black is too dark, it fits with other units. Tengu has dark paint, and Sky Wing as well (its upper side when flying). It can be said that black is Imperial color for aerial units. As for Sky Fortress and VX Chopper, there the different coloring like Sea/Sky Wing can do, cant be applied. Chopper just forms arms and moves rocket launcher, and thats all, so must be white at all times. Thought Sky Fortress would possibly gain black/dark, but than he will look "black-and-white", so instead he is just white :) And as Gunlock will be always in the air, the black can be used, and I think dark suit it :)
Its the same like that MiG is white while primary color palette of Soviet units is green.
It will probably be a bit less black once the skin is up to standard with the RA3 shaders.
They are still concept art. Final designs always come in when the 3d renders arrive. There will be changes by then.
That's true. Just something to bear in mind.
Yes, like Com-Link and TheWorms said, the final 3d models may be different than what you see in the concept arts :) Just to give you general idea, and little tease you :)
Of course. That being said, I *do* like the design. Though ironically, I'm thinking less Anime and more Freespace X3

Awesome to see the team working on Shock Therapy again! \:D/
One little suggestion: I still feel that 'darkening' RA3's theme somewhat (More grim and serious environments, darker paint on units, etc. more like RA1) would be very beneficial. Just a thought.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing the next update on this awesome mod'! :D
