AW7 (Apocalypse Weekend 7-Day Game)'s release date has been set for December 25th, 2005. The bad news is that Eternal Damnation weapons such as the chainsaw will not be available in AW7 until the actual release of Eternal Damnation. I have made this decision because it is likely that Eternal Damnation will be delayed until next year for bug fixing.
Additionally, I've had to remove some weapons from the final release. It has come to my attention that several AW7 weapons were actually taken from the ChaosUT Mod without permission. I apologize to everyone involved for the confusion. In addition, I have decided to remove the AW7 Demo Download because it contains those weapons.
The AW7 First Release (slated for Christmas Day '05) will contain the following weapons:
- All normal Postal 2 weapons
- All three Apocalypse Weekend Expansion weapons (Machete, SledgeHammer, Scythe)
- Grenade Launcher
- Holy Hand Grenade
- M@D Butcher Knife
- Mini-Nuke Launcher
- Pitchfork (cheat-only)
- S.M.E.G.
- Biohazardous Snark's Axe
- Biohazardous Snark's Katana (pics forthcoming)
- M@D Spiked Bat (cheat-only)
- M@D Bomb
- M@D Colt
- M@D Shuriken
- M@D SMP
- M@D Silenced Pistol
- M@D Silenced Rifle
- M@D Syringe
- M@D Zyclon B
Basically, the same weapon list as the demo, but without the ChaosUT weapons.
Once ED is released, I will release a patch for AW7 that enables the use of the following weapons:
- Baseball Bat
- Knuckle Dusters
- Flame Thrower
- Chainsaw
- Sawed-Off Shotgun (cheat-only)
The AW7 First Release will be 100% playable, and the ED patch will seamlessly integrate with the AW7 First Release.
So, start counting down the days to Christmas -- and the AW7 First Release!
