We are pleased to bring you our second official media news update. Due to possible copyright infringement issues and team agreement we have decided to change the name to Alien Vs. Hunter Gold. We may or may not be changing the player models, we are undecided as of yet, but plan to keep the gameplay, weapons, and maps as similar as possible. We now have the Marine's NightVision, Marine's flares, several weapon models, and three maps mostly completed. We are also nearing completion on the Flame Thrower in-game effects. We are currently working to complete these tasks as well as working on the player models and more maps.
We have three maps to preview this time around. They are not completely finished but this is the current progress of each. Here are a few shots of our (WIP) Work in Progress on Meat Factory, Mapped by Magick:

i hope you guys are intending to work on the lighting more later, the lighting is what gave the original first person avp games and the aliens movies their particular sense of terror and helplessness.

Alright, I don't want to sound like a troll but im not a fan of your level design(to clarify...the levels shown seem very blocky, and I for one am not a fan of blocky levels, hive however seems to be very well put together and a lot of fun.)
Now I understand that its very WIP but I would love to get stunned by material presented to me. However I see potential, as a matter of fact I see a lot of potential this could be one kick *** mod. Next media release please demonstrate something amazing that really shows me what you guys have in mind for us and I will give you my loyalty as a fan.
The flare system looks very, very cool, cant wait to see the gun-model used to fire the flare. Also the guns look pretty solid and close(almost exactly) to real life replicas. Again I think you guys can do something really impressive with the mod however you need to reevaluate your level design.
I have to say i agree, I love the way this game is looking but the levels seem too generic.
It would be a shame for all your hard work not to be noticed due too square maps
Hello, I'm the mapper of the "blocky" map. I wanted to tell you that It's normal that it is blocky i've just done the structure of the map yet , I was about to get it more realistic. Don't take screenshots of that like the final version because it isn't however I guess you can just see the bad part of my map and that's too bad for hard work on that map... Anyway Thanks.
And also to answer the questions for lights, The map can be really dark because almost all the lights are breakable. Thanks.

The maps we've created are simply to give you, the public, an idea of what we are going for and what we have in mind. Mod teams are usually composed of people like you who want to see a game reach perfection, and it will one day. This is media release #2, not #20. I am the mapper of Piranesi, the darker map. The original concept of the map was to be a decently lit "rocket arena" for constant combat. I'm not at liberty to say specifically what will be added or changed, but I can guarantee you that you will love the end result as this mod team is ALSO composed of "Aliens vs. Predator" players.

AVP2 was one of my alltime favourite games when i grew up :D
AVP2 multiplayer was amazing, to date probably my favorite multiplayer experience, if they bring it back... I don't know... I just don't know. Looking forward to this more than some retail games coming out...

Best winshes, and a tip for this type of videos showing something coded but not implemented in controls is using the manual bind (in console: bind "x" "command wanted to execute when pressed the selected key", for example: bind "c" "sv_cheats 1" so when I press c I change the value of sv_cheats to 1).
The most probable thing is that you know that, only wanted to help in case you don't ^^.

Y, I heard the movies sucked *****, while the game is fun.
As of right now, were trying to remake all the old maps to get them done since this is a remake of the original. Then maybe along the way us as well as the community can get in the action of making other innovated maps for the mod.
There is no Temple map in the original AvP:GE game. So, it won't appear hear since this is a remake of that game.
Just to recap as other said about the mapping. It's still early in DEv, nothing special but hoping to improve and finish up the maps planned.
