Hi! I am Johannes Fillet, Marketing advisor and lead alpha tester of the Decades of Development dev team. Today I'm here to tell you about the Alpha Release for the ArmA2 mod "over the top". This new WW1 mod will change the way you play ArmA in a big way! With bolt action rifles and biplanes we will take you back to a time where old empires met the might of modern technology in a bloody conflict that would set the tone for centuries to come. We at decades of development think the history of this war is important and should be preserved. In museums and collections, but most of all in our daily gaming lives.
This first version of the mod comes with working allied and German tanks, planes, artillery pieces, historically correct uniforms and weapons, and more. We're still working on adding more factions and possibly horses.
Remember this is the first version of the ALPHA open to the public. This means the game is far from finished! It is still in a testing and development phase. There will be lots of bugs and incomplete things, if you encounter any of these things please tell us.

How do we install it?
If this ii your first time installing the mod you need to drag the @wwi folder to your arma directory be it CD installed or Steam.
Then either steam or CD you must do the following.
Right click and go to the properties of the shortcut and put this in and at the end of the command line -mod=@wwi;.
For steam right click the Arma 2 OA selection and go to its properties, click set launch option and apply the exact same command line and then it should launch the mod.
If you still have problems please reply so I try to help further :)

So is this installed into ARMA 2, or Operation Arrowhead? When it is installed, what can I do with it, only multiplayer and editor? Thanks.
Its for CO, so essentially both but in steams case its OA. The mod is only MP and editor right now. There are a few vehicles and units for each current nation to play with, Germany having the most :)
Tank, please, tell me where can I find all these units? 'cause I found German soldier in USMC... it is probably soldier from tests, right?
What is the server ip for a game server?
We don't have one sadly, we will try to get something together soon though so stay tuned :)
When I try to spawn in a plane, it says "Bad vehicle type west_aircaft" or something like that, and if I try spawning an empty one, I cannot manually get inside it (Yes, it is unlocked). Any help with this?
That is odd as far as the empty one is concerned though if you have yet to try my only suggestion is walk around the plane and make sure your not in the wrong place but if you tried already then I am sorry for the inconvenience :(
As for it being spawn bugged we are aware that the WWI pilot is missing and that is the current issue, if this is a new issue can you please recreate it and post it here for us to see please and thank you :)
